Position Summary:
The Engine Technical Advisor is the primary contact for Clients and will handle their needs on routine, minor unscheduled and AOG events. The Engine Technical Advisor manages customer events utilizing the Product Line Specialist (PLS) to assist them in supporting events for which they need assistance.

<li>Set up preliminary scheduled inspections or major unscheduled events.</li>
<li>Support a customer in AOG events</li>
<li>Develops and maintains client relationships through periodic contact.</li>

Position Summary:
We are seeking Technical Advisor (TA) Trainees to join our TA Training Program, commencing July 6, 2026! This is an entry level position in the Field Services department of Toshiba America Energy Systems Corporation. The job functions include traveling extensively to North American power plant facilities to service power generation equipment. While not traveling, emphasis will be placed on classroom training and one-on-one development with subject matter experts across functional groups.
Essential Duties:
The Trainees will learn all of the requirements to become Technical Advisors, including the procedures for steam turbine generator service, visual inspections, diagnosis and troubleshooting, component evaluation, customer service, and reporting.  Functions will require mechanical abilities with extensive hands-on learning and development up front.
The TA Training Program will begin with classroom training in our Milwaukee, Wisconsin facility, and it will continue at customer sites to learn the basics of steam turbine generator service projects.  The training will focus on safety, turbine design and specific maintenance processes. Trainees will receive training from and work alongside industry experts as they progress in their training.   It is the intention to have the TA Trainee obtain extensive knowledge and learn the many aspects of steam turbine and generator maintenance quickly in order to operate confidently and provide support for complex outages upon completion of the training.  Responsibilities will then include leading entire field projects in a technical and supervisory role of increasing responsibility, as experience and performance allow.

We are seeking a skilled Technical Advisor I to work in our mechanical Field Services team.  The business is headquartered in West Allis, WI, but this role can be based anywhere in the United States with frequent travel to customer locations.  The Technical Advisor will provide mechanical technical expertise to our power generation customers and may perform as Site Shift Supervisor for labor at project sites. In addition, they may serve as overall project lead on smaller scope turn-key projects.  Activities may involve, but not be limited to maintenance support on steam turbines, generators, valves, and auxiliary systems.

Technical Advisor
