Our approach ensures that every project supports long‑term value, operational readiness, and the unique requirements of federal clients and the communities they serve.The primary duties of the West US & APAC Region Federal Business Group Director include:<ul><li>Develop and lead the federal business group initiatives and investments for the region.</li><li>Develop, implement and maintain effective regional business group programs, including business development strategies, new business prospects, technical services, quality, production methods and standards, all within the established goals and objectives of the company and business group.</li><li>Oversee recruitment, selection, development and direction of key business group staff.</li><li>Prepare annual revenue forecasts and budgets and monitor performance of regional business group cost centers.</li><li>Develop and Lead the regional business group strategic plan implementation.</li><li>Serve as a member of the West regional management team in setting and monitoring overall goals of the region.</li><li>Facilitate regional teamwork, business group collaboration, communication and work-sharing between offices, business classes, management, marketing and staff to maximize client satisfaction, company growth and profitability.</li><li>Build regional business group capabilities through recruitment, mentoring, staff development and training.</li><li>Support the development of strong client relationships and selectively serve in roles as a key client manager, contract manager and principal-in-charge as needed.</li><li>Monitor regional business group performance indicators and direct actions designed to improve project delivery.</li><li>Guide project delivery such that company policies and procedures, standards, quality assurance and risk management are adhered to within the business group and region.</li><li>Develop and implement strategy as member of regional management team and business group designed to achieve growth in net fees earned.</li><li>Coordinate local initiatives and goals with company-wide business group strategic plans.</li><li>Facilitate project management reviews and project quality control reviews in coordination with the director of professional services and business class directors.</li><li>Provide strong partnership across all HDR Business Groups to facilitate the winning and delivering work for the US Federal Government</li><li>Participate in business and community activities as a representative of HDR.</li><li>Perform other duties as needed.</li></ul>Preferred Qualifications<ul><li>A minimum of 20 years’ experience in related fields</li><li>A professional, architecture, engineering registration or related technical or business development and marketing experience</li></ul>Additional Required Qualifications<ul><li>Knowledge of Government Agencies and Competitors in the Western US, with previous experience working in the Pacific.</li><li>Strong business acumen and client development skills with proven track record in capture planning and overseeing qualifications and proposal development to win Government contracts.</li></ul>

THIS POSITION IS 100% ON-SITE IN GERMANTOWN, MARYLAND. This position provides relocation support to the Germantown area.Global Engineering &amp; Technology (GET) is seeking qualified individuals for the position of Nuclear Weapons Subject Matter Expert (SME) in support of the Department of Energy's Office of Classification in Germantown, Maryland.This is a highly compensated, long-term, 100% on-site position at the Department of Energy facility in Germantown, Maryland. This position provides relocation support to the Germantown area.The SME will be trained to conduct classification review and analysis of government material in accordance with applicable laws, regulations, DOE orders, and DOE Office of Classification procedures for Restricted Data (RD), Formerly Restricted Data (FRD), and National Security Information (NSI) technical areas such as: <ul><li>Nuclear weapon design, development, testing, production, and deployment</li><li>Nuclear weapon science</li><li>Inertial confinement fusion (ICF)</li><li>Ballistic missile and/or reentry body/vehicle design, development, testing, production, and deployment</li><li>Special nuclear material (SNM) production technologies such as, but not limited to, isotope separation technologies (atomic vapor laser isotope separation, gaseous diffusion, gas centrifuge, etc.) and nuclear material processing</li><li>Counterintelligence and nuclear intelligence</li><li>Military utilization of nuclear weapons and nuclear weapon effects</li><li>Nuclear nonproliferation (technology and/or safeguards programs)</li><li>Radiological weapons and improvised nuclear devices</li><li>Space nuclear reactors and naval nuclear propulsion</li></ul>Salary Range: Compensation for this position will range from $165,000 to $185,000 per year, depending on qualifications.
