POSITION OVERVIEW
To support the Metallurgical Engineering staff to perform investigatory and daily testing, monitor the concentrator mass consumables inventory, and maintain process monitoring equipment in the concentrator.
ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES
<ul>
<li>Ability to prepare samples and complete basic sample analysis procedures following proper guidelines</li>
<li>Maintain the x-ray on stream analyzers to include basic electrical maintenance, mechanical maintenance, as well as system sampling and calibration</li>
<li>Maintain the on-stream sampling systems to include piping and vacuum pump systems</li>
<li>Maintain the control x-ray spare parts inventory</li>
<li>Monitor Concentrator reagents for daily usage</li>
<li>Monitor and maintain thickener flocculent systems</li>
<li>Monitor and maintain the mine anti-scalant addition systems</li>
<li>Perform weekly and monthly Concentrator mass consumables inventory, and order required inventory</li>
<li>Interface with purchasing to ensure proper delivery and assist in delivery unloading upon delivery</li>
<li>Test, analyze, and report on proposed procedural and reagent changes by standard laboratory tests</li>
<li>Perform daily screen analyses</li>
<li>Test, analyze and report on Concentrator performance by standard laboratory test</li>
<li>Maintain proper reagent identification according to MSHA standards</li>
<li>Use a wide range of laboratory crushing, grinding, screening, flotation, etc., mineral processing equipment, as well as the analytical devices used to measure results</li>
</ul>
ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
<ul>
<li>Must have a valid driver's license</li>
<li>High school diploma or equivalent</li>
<li>Safety Sensitive position requiring all persons assigned to activity be drug free</li>
<li>MSHA certification preferred and will be required to obtain during 1st or 1st 3 days of employment</li>
<li>Responsible for executing, supporting, and enforcing the Company's Environmental, Health and Safety program as required by OIS policy, directives, and principles.</li>
<li>Must be able to take multiple directives and follow instructions with precision.</li>
<li>Must have MS Office computer skills (Windows, Word, Excel, and Outlook).</li>
<li>Must be able to manage time effectively and set priorities.</li>
<li>Requires the ability to manage multiple tasks.</li>
<li>Must have a valid driver's license.</li>

PHYSICAL AND ENVIRONMENTAL JOB REQUIREMENTS:

Metallurgical Technician

High school diploma or equivalent; valid driver's license; safety sensitive; MSHA certification preferred and must obtain during first days; MS Office skills; ability to follow instructions and manage multiple tasks.

Position Summary

The I&E Technician is responsible for repairing and installation of instrumentation and electrical equipment. This individual must be able to communicate and adhere to company processes. They are responsible for testing existing equipment, deciding when to repair or replace systems, and read manufacturer specifications or blueprints to learn how to disassemble and reassemble complex systems. While you may independently check systems based on a predetermined schedule, you also respond to urgent requests throughout your facility and determine which tasks to prioritize. This is a new position located in Wink, TX and reports to the Electrical Supervisor.

Essential Job Duties

Installation & Commissioning:

	Installs instrumentation and control system components accurately.

	Capable of using configuration software and equipment to bring equipment into service properly.

	Conducts testing and verification to ensure proper operation post-installation.

Maintenance, Troubleshooting and Repairs:

	Performs routine preventive maintenance on instrumentation/electrical and control systems

	Inspection, calibration and troubleshooting of instrumentation from end device back to control system.

	Updates firmware and software of instrumentation and associated PLCs.
	</li>
</ul>

	Repairs or replaces defective components, such as field transmitters, battery systems, control boards, and power supplies.
	</li>

	Analyzes and interprets electrical schematics and diagrams to identify issues and implement solutions.
	</li>
</ul>

	Identifies opportunities for improving I&E system performance and reliability.
	</li>
</ul>

	Familiarity with calibration standards and implementation; perform loop checks and calibration.
	</li>
</ul>

	Experience with Modbus protocols

	Assist with PLC logic changes and system upgrades

	Submits own timesheets timely and accurately for approval and adheres to schedule as agreed upon on the date of hire, and adjusted work schedules thereafter based on company needs.

Technical Support and Training:

	Provides technical support to other team members and departments regarding I&E operations.
	</li>
</ul>

	Assists in training operators and maintenance personnel on instrument and electrical operation and troubleshooting.

	Stays updated on the latest I&E technologies, industry trends, and best practices.

Minimum Qualifications

	Minimum of 3 years of experience in instrumentation maintenance with a focus on I&E systems, including but not limited to level, pressure and temperature transmitters.

	Strong understanding of electrical principles, VFD operation, and motor control systems.

	Knowledgeable with pressure transmitters and level transmitters.
