Securian Financial is seeking an Engineering Senior Analyst with 2-4 years of proven application development experience, specifically skilled in Java, Mainframe, and Informatica, to join our Life &amp; Annuity Actuarial Systems Technology team. As a crucial member of our agile scrum team, you&#39;ll innovate, optimize data processing, and support critical actuarial systems, leveraging a diverse technology stack including AWS, Spring, SQL Server, and Oracle.</p><p></p><p><b>Responsibilities include but not limited to:</b> </p><ul><li>Own critical business application support, promptly resolving complex production issues to ensure reliable and efficient operations.</li><li>Drive modernization initiatives such as Application Rationalization and migration to AWS, significantly enhancing our systems&#39; capabilities and performance.</li><li>Become a subject matter expert in Individual Life and Annuity business processes, influencing strategic decisions and technical planning.</li><li>Cultivate strong relationships with stakeholders and cross-functional teams, fostering collaboration and alignment.</li><li>Lead and execute projects through detailed analysis, thoughtful design, robust development, rigorous testing, seamless integration, and successful implementation.</li><li>Encourage innovation and creativity through a proactive test-and-learn approach, contributing actively to continuous improvement.</li></ul><p>  </p><p><b>Qualifications:</b> </p><ul><li>2-5 years of proven professional experience in application development.</li><li>Extensive experience (3&#43; years) in Java development, particularly using Spring and Spring Batch frameworks.</li><li>Demonstrated ability to tackle and resolve complex technical challenges.</li><li>Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, thriving in a collaborative team environment.</li><li>Strong expertise in Mainframe systems and Informatica ETL tools.</li></ul><p></p><p><b>Preferred Qualifications:</b> </p><ul><li>Experience in system design and analysis.</li><li>Expertise in Mainframe systems and Informatica ETL tools.</li><li>Previous exposure to actuarial systems or financial services technology environments.</li></ul><p></p><p>#LI-Hybrid **This position will have a hybrid working arrangement, working in-office for a minimum of 3 days a week.** </p><p></p><p>Securian Financial believes in hybrid work as an integral part of our culture.
