Overview:

Peregrine's experienced staff knows the cybersecurity and operational technology environment and provides these capabilities for our customers daily.  Summary:The Software Developer will focus on design, construction, testing and deployment of a system modeled to support the maintenance functional and technical requirements. They will support system design and construction geared specifically toward leveraging Web-based technology and techniques. They will work closely with the entire integrated project team to support process analysis, detection and diagnosis of problems, and workflow optimization. Hybrid/Remote: MUST BE LOCATED IN THE NEW ORLEANS, LA AREA.

Responsibilities:
Essential Job Functions:<ul><li>Develop Java source code for Middle Tier and/or Front-End components of a web-based application, test the developed components as units, and document the Java programs</li><li>Participate in functional/technical group discussions with analysts and developers under minimal supervision</li><li>Convert written requirement specifications or graphical models into sequence of detailed instructions and logical steps for coding, applying knowledge of software development</li><li>Provide troubleshooting skill in core Java including thread dump analysis, caching, pool connections, memory leaks, thread deadlocks, and persistence configuration</li><li>Provide written status of assigned tasks including completion percentage, identification of issues encountered, and plans for future tasks</li><li>Work in a dynamic environment with talented team members to deliver quality software capabilities</li></ul>

Qualifications:
Necessary Skills and Knowledge:<ul><li>Ability to assess and understand functional and technical requirements</li><li>Working experience with Java, JavaScript</li><li>Understand principles of user interface design</li><li>Analytical and problem-solving abilities, with keen attention to detail</li><li>Ability to understand and follow Quality Assurance processes and guidelines</li><li>Possess excellent interpersonal communication skills, verbal and written</li></ul>Minimum Qualifications:<ul><li>Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience (preferably in Information Systems, Computer Science or other computer-related degree/experience)</li><li>Pass an employer background check</li><li>Ability to pass a National Agency Check (NAC) Investigation</li><li>Ability to obtain a Secret security clearance</li></ul>Preferred Qualifications:<ul><li>Experience with or functional knowledge of three-tiered architecture: Front-End (web server), Middle Tier (application server), Back-End (database server)</li><li>OpenJDK, Oracle Java Development Kit</li><li>Netbeans 8</li><li>Serena Dimensions Desktop Client</li><li>Java-based Web Services</li><li>Dell TOAD DBA Suite for Oracle</li><li>Apache HTTP Server</li><li>Sencha EXT JS</li><li>JBOSS Enterprise Application Platform</li><li>Apache Tomcat</li><li>Apache Struts</li><li>Oracle 19C Database</li><li>Unix/Linux Operating System</li><li>Hands-on skills in troubleshooting and debugging complex software</li><li>Common software: Google Chrome, Internet Explorer, Mozilla Firefox, Adobe, MS Office</li></ul> Pay and BenefitsThe annual salary range for this position is $75,000 to $85,000. At Goldbelt, we value and reward our team's dedication and hard work.
