Backend Software Developer (Greenwich, CT) (Hybrid: Remote work permitted 2 days/week) (multiple positions).
Design, develop, and maintain critical backend services for international brokerage firm’s interest, margin, sales tax, and net revenue systems.&nbsp;Develop java applications that process large datasets from various systems to execute complex calculations and generate comprehensive financial reporting.&nbsp;Design efficient data models and optimize complex queries in Oracle database for Interest and Tax systems.&nbsp;Implement RESTful APIs and JBoss services that support real-time inquiries for interest-related data.&nbsp;Develop automation workflows using Python and shell scripts for system monitoring, API integration, and regulatory reporting.&nbsp;Collaborate with multiple teams to implement business requirements into scalable backend services.&nbsp;Participate in code reviews, architectural discussions and technical design sessions.
Hybrid: Remote work permitted 2 days/week. Must work from Greenwich, CT office 3 days/week.
Requires –
Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in computer science, or related field and Four (4) years of experience as a Software Developer or related position developing with Java.
Also requires:
4 years of professional experience developing large-scale systems with Spring Framework, Spring Boot, and JDBC.&nbsp;4 years of experience working with Oracle Database, including PL/SQL development, performance tuning, and data modelling using large-scale datasets.&nbsp;3 years of experience with RESTful web services; JMS and ActiveMQ; and version control system Git.&nbsp;3 years of experience with Python for automation, data processing, API integration, and system administration tasks.&nbsp;3 years of experience developing applications for financial services platforms that process margin and securities lending transactions and data.

<li>Lead the development of trade capture workflows, blotter interfaces, and workflow automation to simplify front-office activity and reduce operational friction</li>
<li>Partner with traders and portfolio managers to translate live workflow conversations into practical software designs and prioritized delivery plans</li>
<li>Drive end-to-end delivery across frontend, backend, and data layers, owning solutions from problem framing through production rollout and validation</li>
<li>Partner closely with Operations and Compliance to embed controls, observability, and supportability into trade flows and release plans</li>
<li>Use AI tools as a core part of the engineering process to accelerate implementation, refactoring, test generation, debugging, and documentation while validating outputs for safety and correctness</li>

<li>3+ years of experience working in a financial markets or trading technology environment with domain exposure to Fixed Income, Futures, or FX</li>
<li>Proven experience using AI tools as a core part of the software delivery lifecycle to generate implementation, tests, refactoring, debugging aids, or documentation, with a demonstrated ability to validate AI-generated outputs through testing and targeted human review</li>
<li>Experience supporting production systems used during U.S. trading hours, including participating in production support and incident resolution</li>
<li>Strong verbal and written communication skills and demonstrated ability to work directly with traders, portfolio managers, operations teams, and compliance teams to convert ambiguous business problems into safe, production-ready solutions</li>
<li>Authorization to work in the United States and ability to be based in Stamford, CT or New York City and work onsite as needed</li>
