GQA Engineers are the frontline owners of the quality processes, including the process of development, testing, and delivery. As a Senior Software Engineer in Test in the GQA, you will be responsible for ensuring software quality using efficient and reliable test automation. The ideal candidate has built multiple stable, scalable, and reliable automated suites that have been running successfully in production environments and provide extensive quality benefits. Additionally, we are looking for a QE leader who cares about the user experience and has a passion for quality, learning, and collaboration. Roles &amp; Responsibilities:<ul><li>Scope and Complexity: You are able to create and execute test cases for more complex feature enhancements to validate user stories involving oneself or working with other engineers. You demonstrate ability to execute and build automated tests by contributing new code that builds on top of what other engineers have written. You are engaged with your team’s automated testing systems by analyzing test results and identifying areas for increased automated coverage. You execute and build automated tests using the existing tests built by more experienced test automation engineers.</li><li>QA Fundamentals: You are responsible for making decisions about test coverage for new features and for determining when to sign off on a feature or release based on your team’s best-practices. You consider the team’s automation capabilities in your analysis. You understand the differences between unit, integration, and end-to-end or user journey tests.</li><li>Execution: You have demonstrated the ability to utilize blackbox test methodology to execute test cases, document bugs. You engage with available tools (e.g. network monitoring tools, debug logs, performance dashboards, etc) for validating acceptance criteria and to provide more information to SDEs for debugging and troubleshooting purposes. You contribute to automated testing efforts.</li><li>Operations: You provide documentation of new features and requirements from a testing perspective. You take ownership of regression testing and release testing coordination.</li><li>Influence: You influence your team’s processes and testing methodologies through discussions with peers and your management. You are persuasive in influencing your peers in prioritization decisions by documenting the impact and severity of bugs and performance issues.</li><li>Communication You are an effective communicator as exemplified by your clear writeups of defects, your ability to work with developers and product managers to understand requirements, and your interactions with stakeholders and adjacent teams.</li></ul>What to Bring:<ul><li>6-9 years of experience, knowledge of various test activities including automation testing, regression testing, UI/ API testing, etc.</li><li>Experience driving test design and implementation.</li><li>Ability to writes high quality and stable automated test cases using existing frameworks.</li><li>Understanding of test cases, test data, test runs, and test results management that provides feedback and visibility to qualify &amp; quantify test coverage.</li><li>Effective collaboration with development teams across multiple time zones and locations.</li><li>Ability to reviews automated test run results, triage failures and verify results.</li><li>Able to organize test case inventories that minimize the number of test cases while maximizing the amount of test coverage.</li><li>Understanding of multiple test types including unit, functional, integration, end to end, security, performance, load, and UI tests.</li></ul> Must Haves:<ul><li>Coding language – JavaScript/Java.</li><li>UI Automation - Selenium/Appium</li><li>Mobile Automation - Appium or any other tool for Android/iOS.</li><li>CI/CD - Jenkins/Github Actions</li><li>Source Code Management - GitHub/SVN.</li><li>Test case management - Jira/TestRail/Qmetry</li><li>Good understanding of digital product development and testing for web, mobile, backend services</li><li>Ability to scout emerging industry trends such as AI testing and other best in class processes is nice to have</li></ul>How We Get Things Done…This last bit is probably the most important! Base pay is just one component of Warner Bros. Discovery’s total compensation package for employees. Pay Range: $91,000.00 - $129,000.00 salary per year. Other rewards may include annual bonuses, short- and long-term incentives, and program-specific awards. In addition, Warner Bros.
