Overview

The Quality Assurance Performance Engineer plays a hybrid role, combining software development and testing expertise to ensure the performance, stability, and resiliency of enterprise applications. This individual designs and builds testing frameworks, tools, stubs, and mocks, while also developing and executing comprehensive performance and stress tests. 

The role involves analyzing results, performing root cause analysis, and delivering actionable recommendations to improve system reliability and scalability. Working across both traditional and modern architectures, patterns, and technology stacks, the engineer partners closely with development teams to support high-performing, robust applications and database systems.

The Quality Assurance Performance Engineer will:

<ul style="list-style-type:square">

	Is responsible for developing and maintaining performance test scripts in a prioritized and standardized manner as identified by the Quality Assurance (QA) Manager, Director and Product Line Director
	</li>
	<li>
	Coordinates and organizes requested performance testing and verification of assigned products to ensure the delivery of top-level software products to external clients
	</li>
	<li>
	Participates in performance status calls with team members and management
	</li>
	<li>
	Supports and understands the basic workflow of products assigned for performance testing
	</li>
	<li>
	Possesses good verbal and written communication skills
	</li>
	<li>
	Provides weekly metrics to management
	</li>
	<li>
	Adjusts timelines/requests based on resource project allocations
	</li>
	<li>
	Monitors the verification of product&#39;s performance
	</li>
</ul>

Other Duties:

	<li>
	Maintains working relationships with all internal departments
	</li>
	<li>
	Participates in presentations as Subject Matter Expert (SME)
	</li>
</ul>

Quality Assurance Performance Engineer

Experience designing and executing performance tests; knowledge of performance tools; SQL/NoSQL; Unix/Linux; cloud platforms; SDLC; strong communication and analytical skills.

Strong performance testing, programming across multiple languages, SQL/NoSQL data handling, monitoring tools, SDLC experience, and good analytical problem-solving skills.
