Your talents can make a difference in keeping our ships and sailors safe from threats both above and below the surface of the ocean.  The Maritime Surveillance domain requires Software Engineers to familiarize themselves with a wide variety of mission systems, software programming languages and environments. Join our Team in support of some of the Navy’s most technologically sophisticated aircraft platforms including the P-8A Poseidon. The selected candidate will be responsible for but not limited to in this hands-on role:<ul><li style="margin-bottom: 0in;">Work cross-functionally with developers and system administrators to gain a deep understanding of system requirements, behaviors, and capabilities. </li><li style="margin-bottom: 0in;">Integrate system functionalities within a Red Hat environment, ensuring seamless operation and compatibility. </li><li style="margin-bottom: 0in;">Assist developers with system installation, configuration, troubleshooting, and remediation to address technical challenges effectively. </li><li style="margin-bottom: 0in;">Troubleshoot and debug system issues, performing root cause analysis across hardware, network, and software domains to ensure system reliability. </li><li style="margin-bottom: 0in;">Support release deployments and conduct periodic system/application patching to maintain system security and performance. </li><li style="margin-bottom: 0in;">Streamline maintenance and deployment processes to enhance integrated functionality and operational efficiency.</li></ul> Qualifications Requirements:<ul><li style="margin-bottom: 0in;">Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Systems Information Management, IT, Electrical Engineering, or Mathematics. </li><li style="margin-bottom: 0in;">Minimum of one (1) year of related work experience. </li><li style="margin-bottom: 0in;">Hands-on Red Hat administration experience. </li><li style="margin-bottom: 0in;">Direct knowledge and experience with Bamboo, BitBucket, and Artifactory.</li><li style="margin-bottom: 0in;">Familiarity with tools such as SonarQube, Maven, and Git.</li><li style="margin-bottom: 0in;">Knowledge of Agile development, DevOps, Continuous Delivery (CD), and Continuous Integration (CI) pipelines, including automation best practices.</li><li style="margin-bottom: 0in;">Understanding of fundamental networking concepts.</li><li style="margin-bottom: 0in;">Experience with virtualization environments (e.g., KVM, Docker), Ansible, scripting, troubleshooting software and hardware, and working in an Agile environment.</li><li style="margin-bottom: 0in;">Experience with PXE and ISCSI interfaces.</li><li style="margin-bottom: 0in;">Basic understanding of the Java programming language to support Java application integration. </li><li style="margin-bottom: 0in;">Ability to work independently, solve problems, and demonstrate a strong desire to learn in a fast-paced environment. </li><li style="margin-bottom: 0in;">Must have an Active DoD Secret Clearance or higher or be able to obtain and maintain an Active DoD Secret Clearance or higher.</li><li style="margin-bottom: 0in;">Must be a U.S. Citizen</li></ul>Highly Desired Qualifications:<ul><li>Security+ certification</li></ul> #LI-EN1 Compensation Statement At Sabre Systems, LLC, compensation is based on factors such as location, qualifications, experience, and contract-specific requirements; however, final compensation will be determined by individual qualifications and applicable contract terms.
