Resource Innovations is seeking Lead Java Software Engineer to join our growing Software as a Service (SaaS) team. As a hands-on technical lead at Resource Innovations, you will be instrumental in the design, development and deployment of innovative cloud-based enterprise software used by leading Energy organizations. With every step, we're leading the charge to power change. <ul><li>Software Development: Lead and participate in the full software development life cycle of cloud-based enterprise applications, including design, development, testing, implementation, and support in a fast-paced, distributed environment.</li><li>Technical Design &amp; Architecture: Design and develop cloud-native applications using Java, Spring Boot, and related frameworks. Work with REST/SOAP web services, API Gateways, and RDBMS to build scalable, high-performance systems. Ensure software designs meet performance, security, usability, reliability, and scalability requirements.</li><li>Code Quality &amp; Review: Develop clean, maintainable, and well-documented code following best practices and design patterns. Conduct code reviews, provide feedback, and contribute to continuous improvement in development standards.</li><li>Troubleshooting &amp; Optimization: Identify, analyze, and resolve complex technical issues, including production support and performance bottlenecks; optimize applications for performance and scalability.</li><li>Collaboration &amp; Process: Collaborate cross-functionally with QA, DevOps, Product, and Business teams using Agile methodologies (Scrum, Jira, Confluence, Git) to deliver quality software solutions on time.</li><li>Continuous Improvement: Stay current with evolving technologies, including AI-assisted development practices, and recommend improvements to tools, frameworks, and engineering processes.</li></ul>

The Internship Program with WPS Health Solutions is comprised of two key components. The first component involves gaining practical experience to supplement academic coursework and prepare for future career pursuits. This will be comprised of a hands-on role within a functional area related to a relevant field of study. Each internship incorporates responsibilities and tasks which support the business objectives and client service offerings, while providing ongoing collaboration with experienced departmental colleagues and exposure to "real world" business demands. The second element centers on exposure to corporate culture and professional development.
Interns will participate in discussions focused on building soft-skills and business acumen. As an intern in this role, you will gain hands-on experience building data workflows and developing features for our customer portal while learning from senior engineers in an Agile environment.
Start Date: June 2, 2026 Pay Rate:  $22.00/hour The base pay rate offered for this position may vary within the posted range based on your job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Hybrid Work This position will be hybrid, having the regional availability to come into our office three days a week. Our office location: WPS Corporate Center Building - 1717 W. Broadway in Madison, WI, 53713.
What you will do as a Platform Engineer Intern: 
<ul>
<li>Workflow Development: Assist in building and configuring data extraction and print management processes using platforms like Ricoh Process Director (RPD), ABBYY Vantage, or OpenText.</li>
<li>Support Portal Development: Help deliver full-stack features using React/Vite (Frontend) and Java or C# (Backend).</li>
<li>Explore Cloud & DevOps: Gain exposure to Azure infrastructure, including monitoring and deployment pipelines.</li>
<li>Agile Collaboration: Participate in Scrum ceremonies and track tasks in Azure DevOps.</li>
<li>Technical Documentation: Help document technical decisions and configuration steps to support team knowledge sharing.</li>
</ul>
