We are seeking a Software Engineer to join our highly dynamic team developing machine control solutions for our high-performance mailing solutions.  We are looking for high energy team players with strong initiative and a can-do attitude.  Candidates must have good project management skills and be able to prioritize, multitask and collaborate effectively in a fast paced, multidisciplinary group environment.
 
Key Accountabilities
<ul>
<li>Work as part of or lead multidisciplinary teams of engineers to gather requirements, architect, design, implement and deploy real-time software to control high speed mail processing equipment</li>
<li>Coordination of deliverables that affect multiple projects or products.</li>
<li>Define, perform or guide all aspects of system level testing and utilize results to improve solution performance</li>
<li>Capable of leading cross functional project teams on high-risk projects to success against critical deadlines</li>
<li>Plan and maintain project schedules, ensure solutions meet all requirements and are delivered within specified timeframes and budget allocations</li>
<li>Collaborate closely with project team members, product management and internal and external partners</li>
</ul>

Software Engineer

10+ years in object-oriented software design; 8+ years in C++ development; real-time control for mechatronics; RTOS (RTX); Agile experience; BS/MS in CS or related; strong problem solving and communication.

Required Qualifications: <ul type="disc"><li class="MsoNormal">Bachelor’s degree in CS or IT field</li><li class="MsoNormal">5+ years of experience with Reporting & Analytics background, using Snowflake and Power BI</li><li class="MsoNormal">3+ years of experience with any one of the programming languages like C#/.NET Core or Java</li><li class="MsoNormal">3+ years of experience with MS SQL/T‑SQL and building web and Windows applications</li><li class="MsoNormal">3+ years of experience with frontend and API technologies, including React, JavaScript, jQuery, AJAX, CSS, HTML, and RESTful API development</li><li class="MsoNormal">1+ years of experience developing services, functions, and patterns using OpenAI technologies and leveraging AI tools such as GitHub Copilot, Spec Kit, Codex, or Claude</li><li class="MsoNormal">1+ years of experience with any Cloud platform like Azure, AWS or GCP</li><li class="MsoNormal">1+ years of experience with DevOps using Docker or Kubernetes, Helm or Terraform or CI/CD tools, along with experience working on Linux and PowerShell</li></ul>Preferred Qualifications:<ul type="disc"><li class="MsoNormal">Experience with Vue.js</li><li class="MsoNormal">Healthcare industry knowledge</li><li class="MsoNormal">Strong documentation skills</li><li class="MsoNormal">Knowledge of software and infrastructure security best practices</li></ul>*All Telecommuters will be required to adhere to UnitedHealth Group’s Telecommuter Policy. Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, we offer benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements).
