Dev Technology Group is hiring a Technical Team Lead with a focus on Java applications to support our team in serving a dynamic government customer delivering mission-critical functionality for web-based applications. We are looking for an experienced technical team lead who has strong communication skills, clear technical understanding, a desire to learn new things, and a customer focus. The ideal candidate will work collaboratively, serve team members, and enjoy learning new technologies and business areas. &nbsp;
What You'll Be Doing: You will be responsible for providing technical leadership to a team of 8 to 14 developers and testers, ultimately ensuring work gets completed accurately and effectively by enabling team members to work together and grow their skills, and facilitating with other teams and stakeholders. You will support complex problem-solving, provide input to technical design, and suggest process improvement. You will provide mentorship to developers and collaborate closely with your government technical lead. You will ensure a cohesive team effort is applied to all challenges that come your way.
Required Education, Experience, and Skills: &nbsp;
<ul>
<li>Bachelor’s degree plus at least 10 years of work experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.</li>
<li>At least 5 years of experience developing Java applications and associated frameworks&nbsp;</li>
<li>At least 1 year of experience leading a technical team, formally or informally</li>
<li>At least 1 year of development experience using JavaScript and/or JavaScript frameworks like Angular</li>
<li>At least 3 years of experience working in a story-based Agile team development environment using Jira or a similar tool</li>
<li>At least 1 year of experience working in an automated development environment, using CI/CD tools such as Git, Bamboo, Jenkins, SonarQube</li>
<li>Experience with Spring and Spring Boot</li>
<li>Experience with Hibernate or MyBatis&nbsp;</li>
<li>Experience writing automated unit tests</li>
<li>Experience developing against relational databases (e.g., Oracle, PostgreSQL)</li>
<li>Good communication skills, both written and verbal</li>
<li>Experience working to translate business requirements into working code</li>
<li>Ability to collaborate with team members to ensure client needs and expectations are met or exceeded</li>
<li>Experience developing in and deploying to a Cloud environment (such as Amazon Web Services)</li>
</ul>
Preferred Education, Experience, and Skills:
<ul>
<li>Experience with JMS (e.g., IBM MQ, ActiveMQ)</li>
<li>Experience working on a federal government project</li>
<li>Experience with people care management</li>
