Apply now to become a key player in our mission-critical projects and take your career to new heights!</p><p></p><p>As a Subject Matter Expert - Systems Engineer at Parsons, you will play a crucial role interacting with our customers to develop requirements for CUAS solutions and then developing, integrating and delivering those systems.  This position requires a blend of creativity, technical expertise, a collaborative mindset and the ability to complete assignments with limited supervision.  In-office candidates in the NoVa / West Virgina area are preferred, but remote options are also available for well qualified self-starting candidates.</p><p></p><p><b>What You&#39;ll Be Doing:</b></p><ul><li>Meeting primarly with our customers in the USCG and potentially additional customers including those in the DoW, greater DHS organization, DoS, federal and local law enforcement, as well as civilian agencies to determine their CUAS requirements and help recommend CUAS system configurations optimized for their needs.</li><li>Leading the CUAS team in designing, integrating, testing, and fielding CUAS solutions to the maritime and ports environments.</li><li>Ensuring the team adheres to all USCG preferred design best practices and prepares appropriately for all test events.</li><li>Liaising with customer representatives, stakeholders, platform leads, etc to ensure transparent and effective technical and programmatic communication with our US Coast Guard customers.</li><li>Helping the team to define and prioritize and implement new features and capabilities in our DroneArmor C2 Software Product line based on customer feedback and strategic planning.</li><li>Plan for and execute participation in various customer and internal marketing demonstrations, exercises and CUAS test events.</li><li>Support the team’s Training, Sustainment and Support activities for systems fielded with the US Coast Guard.</li></ul><p></p><p><b>What Required Skills You&#39;ll Bring:</b></p><ul><li>P<span>revious experience either work for the USCG managing the integration of electronic systems on USCG vessels or CONUS ports</span> <b> --- OR ---</b> Experience supporting the fielding of complex electronic systems on USCG vessels as a member of a civilian/defense contractors’ technical staff</li><li>Must have an active Secret security clearance or be eligible to obtain one.</li><li><span>Bachelor’s degree or higher and at least 11 years of relevant experience</span></li><li><span>At least 6 years of direct specialized experience in this area</span></li><li>Experience in designing, testing, debugging and documenting complex hardware and software systems.</li><li>Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and independently when required.</li><li>Excellent verbal and written communication skills.</li><li>Substantial USCG systems integration and/or Systems Engineering domain expertise.</li></ul><p></p><p><br /><b>What Desired Skills Might You Bring to Differentiate Yourself:</b></p><ul><li><span>Master’s degree in a STEM field</span></li><li>Systems Engineering experience.</li><li>Familiarity with one or more of the following disciplines:  CUAS, Electronic Warfare(EW), Command &amp; Control (C2), Radars, EOIR/Cameras and/or Communications Electronics.</li><li>Previous service with the USCG, US Navy, Merchant Marines, etc.</li><li>Ability to work locally full time or hybrid in our Summit Point, WV CUAS Integration and Test Facility (1 hour out side DC / Northern Virginia).</li><li>Willingness to travel occasionally to customer sites (and Parsons’ CUAS Integration Facility if a remote employee).</li><li>Ability to mentor peers and share domain expertise effectively.</li><li>Familiarity with Java software development</li><li>Experience with Atlassian Products &amp; GIT</li><li>Experience with Docker, Swing, React</li><li>Expertise in with AI/ML algorithm development and training.</li></ul><p></p><p><u><b>Security Clearance Requirement:</b></u></p>None<p style="text-align:inherit"></p><p style="text-align:inherit"></p>This position is part of our Federal Solutions team.<p style="text-align:inherit"></p><p style="text-align:inherit"></p>The Federal Solutions segment delivers resources to our US government customers that ensure the success of missions around the globe.
