<h1>Software Engineer Journeyman</h1>

<h2>Responsibilities — What you’ll do: </h2>
<ul><li> Build and maintain the next generation of mission&nbsp;planning products using a wide variety of web technologies, stacks, and form factors.</li><li> Play a key role in designing, developing, deploying, and demonstrating applications and services that support the DoD.</li><li>Have opportunities to develop clean, scalable, and responsive web applications using React and Redux on the frontend, containerized microservices written in C#/Java on the backend, and all deployed into Kubernetes environments using DevSecOps.</li><li> Be a part of an agile team that works together to organize, manage, and complete their work on products.</li><li> Work with your team to test, develop, peer review, and continuously integrate changes into the code base.</li><li> Conduct research for, report on, and create proof-of-concepts and prototypes for R&amp;D projects.</li><li> Learn emerging technologies and programming tools to keep you and your team as well equipped as possible.</li></ul>
<h2>Qualifications — We need someone who: </h2>
<ul><li>Has a Bachelor’s degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, or a similar technical field. </li><li>Has 5+ years professional work experience as a software developer.</li><li> Actively develops front ends, back ends or both using one or more of the following languages: JavaScript, Typescript, C# or Java.</li><li>Is able to engage with teammates, both virtually and face-to-face, to plan projects, seek out or provide help on issues, as well as present solutions to clients.</li><li>Can thrive on autonomy and confidently tackle complex challenges independently.</li><li>Manages time well and can prioritize tasks to ensure projects are completed on time.</li><li>Must be a U.S. Citizen and be&nbsp;able to complete a U.S. government background investigation.</li></ul>
<h2>Preferred — It’s even better if you: </h2>
<ul><li>Have a background in developing Mission Planning Applications for the DoD.</li><li>Have experience with Universal Armament Interface (UAI) or Fly Out Models (FOM) for weapon systems.</li><li>Have experience developing web applications using front-end frameworks and libraries such as React and Redux.</li><li>Have a good understanding of CSS and CSS pre-processing platforms, such as LESS and SASS.</li><li>Are able to build robust, scalable, event-driven, back ends in C#/Java that are service-based or structures such as microservices using containerization.</li><li>Have experience using message brokers and event streaming platforms like RabbitMQ and Kafka.</li><li>Have database experience in PostgreSQL, SQL Server, or MongoDB.</li><li>Have experience with container orchestration platforms and tools like Kubernetes and Helm Charts.</li><li>Are proficient with source control software like Git or Bitbucket as well as package and artifact management tools like ProGet, npm/yarn, and JFrog.</li><li>Have used Software Development Lifecycle tool suites like Azure DevOps or Atlassian.</li><li>Have examples of code we can check out, like GitHub or SourceForge repositories, any applications you’ve built, pet projects, or submissions to hackathons and/or game jams.</li><li>Can demonstrate an understanding of software design patterns used in Web Applications.</li><li>Have a passion for learning new technologies, other coding languages, or different programming paradigms and patterns.</li><li>Received one or more Scrum, Microsoft, Google Developer certifications or any other technical certifications.</li></ul>

Software Engineer Journeyman

5+ years software development; BS in Software Engineering or Computer Science; proficient in JavaScript/Typescript/C#/Java; able to collaborate; US citizen and able to obtain government background check.

We are currently seeking a Cloud Engineer to work in a collaborative and innovative environment support Air Force Special Operations Command (AFSOC). This is an amazing opportunity to directly support global Command and Control Mission Support (C2MS) program. You will be a critical part of the Cloud Systems Administration team, maintaining the C2MS cloud. 

Essential Functions and Job Responsibilities:
<ul><li>Focuses on the customer to deliver a solid product. </li><li>Responsible for resolving IT software and infrastructure (servers, network, security, etc.) issues using systems analysis techniques and procedures to ensure appropriate function of hardware, software or system functional specifications.  </li><li>Provides system administration for assigned infrastructure and establishes and maintains security as it relates to users. </li><li>Applies security patches and operating system upgrades to ensure the security and integrity of the technical environment.  </li><li>Supports new infrastructure projects.  </li><li>Maintains all configuration documentation for assigned infrastructure. </li></ul>

Minimum Requirements:
<ul><li>Active T3 investigation, with the ability to obtain and maintain necessary security clearances as required for access to classified information.</li><li>Experience in Amazon Web Services, Azure, and other commercial cloud vendors. </li><li>Experience creating and editing CloudFormation, TerraForm, Azure Resource Manager, and other IaC templates. </li><li>Cloud Foundation Certification (AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner, Azure Fundamentals, etc.)</li></ul>

Desired Qualifications:
<ul><li>Knowledge of Kubernetes and Containers.  </li><li>Experience working in an Agile organization.  </li><li>Automation and Scripting experience using Python, Javascript, GO, and other scripting languages. </li><li>Experience developing dashboards in CloudWatch, Splunk, and ELK.  </li><li>DevSecOps automation and pipeline experience. </li><li>Interested in performance monitoring and developing KPIs.  </li><li>Knowledge of Special Operations, SOCOM, and C4ISR systems and networks. </li><li>Knowledge of DoD information assurance, policy, and regulatory requirements. </li></ul>
