Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
Job Summary:&nbsp;SEACORP is seeking an entry level Software Engineers with ability to obtain a DoD Secret Clearance out of its main location in Middletown, RI. This role will work within a multidisciplinary team of SEACORP and government personnel to define, design, and integrate software capabilities into complicated military systems.As a Software Engineer at SEACORP, you will be:&nbsp;<ul><li>Assist and participate in the requirements, design, development and testing of a key feature in the USS-DSW including development of new work products or enhancement of existing applications and systems.</li><li>Design, code, test, integrate, and document software solutions.</li><li>Work on problems with defined scope, schedule, and expectations.</li><li>Participate in daily scrums, 2-3 week sprints, demonstration and retrospective ceremonies.</li><li>Work Includes Front and back end development.</li></ul>
Qualifications:
Education:&nbsp;&nbsp;Bachelor's Degree in Computer, Electrical or Electronics Engineering or Mathematics with a field of concentration in Computer Science.Experience:&nbsp; Preferred knowledge of C++, Java, Python, Atlassian Tool Suite, Linux.&nbsp;Candidate should have the ability to be a to work in a fast pace work environments. Able to collaborate with others while being able to handle independent tasking. Ability to learn new technologies quickly.As a requirement of employment, all SEACORP employees must hold U.S. Citizenship

Work Environment &amp; Physical Demands:&nbsp; Office &amp; Computer Laboratories - This positions requires the following physical activities: Sitting, standing, extended periods of time using a mouse and keyboard and looking at computer screens. Infrequent lifting of &lt;40lbs. Movement between points within the same office or between buildings. Work is performed in generally consistent environmental conditions with some seasonality for temperature differences and lighting.

Software Engineer I

Bachelor's in computer, electrical, or electronics engineering or mathematics; entry level; US citizen; ability to obtain DoD Secret Clearance; knowledge of C++, Java, Python; Linux; Atlassian tools.

Responsibilities Works in a lab on assignments requiring considerable judgment and initiative. Develops solutions to routine technical problems of limited scope following detailed instructions. Work is supervised, providing expertise and direction in the development and/or modification of software systems, encompassing design, development and maintenance of code, testing, and managing continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) software pipelines across a large DoD/Fleet user community.  Duties and Responsibilities:<ul style="margin-top: 0in;"><li>Collaborate with team to understand, create, and/or modify applications using technologies such as C++, Python, JavaScript, Bash, and MATLAB in a Linux environment.</li><li>Develop and maintain Continuous Integration pipelines.</li><li>Willingness to be actively involved in all aspects of software development life cycle from requirements definition and maintenance to testing, troubleshooting, release management, and customer support in addition to software development responsibilities.</li><li>Ability to design and implement within a team environment with minimal direction.</li><li>Communicate regularly with team lead and customer to ensure effective work partnerships.</li></ul> Qualifications  Requirements:<ul style="margin-top: 0in;"><li>BS and 0-2 Years experience.</li><li>BS in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or related technology.</li><li>Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret clearance</li><li>Comfortable working full-time in a secure lab environment.</li><li>Desire to be involved in all aspects of the software development life cycle.</li><li>Experience with development under Linux preferably with C++.</li><li>Experience with Linux shell scripting.</li><li>Strong problem solving and troubleshooting skills.</li><li>Effective written and verbal communication skills.</li><li>Able to work and thrive in both individual and team-based development environments.</li></ul> Skills of Interest:<ul style="margin-top: 0in;"><li>Experience with Docker.</li><li>Experience with GitLab or Jira.</li><li>Experience with production life cycle support.</li><li>Experience with JavaScript and Python.</li><li>Familiar with object-oriented software development practices.</li></ul> Equal Pay Act This is the projected compensation range for this position. There are differentiating factors that can impact a final salary/hourly rate, including, but not limited to, Contract Wage Determination, relevant work experience, skills and competencies that align to the specified role, geographic location (For Remote Opportunities), education and certifications as well as Federal Government Contract Labor categories.
