Job Description:

The Lead Coder &ndash; Outpatient Same Day Surgery is responsible for overseeing and performing high-level coding and abstracting of outpatient medical records in accordance with coding guidelines, payer regulations, and hospital policies.&nbsp; Provides guidance and training to the assigned coding unit and support to the Supervisor as it relates to daily workflow, data analysis, change implementation and education in a continuous effort to improve processes, ensure compliancy and meet financial initiatives.

&nbsp;Required Skills &amp; Qualifications:&nbsp;&nbsp;

<ul style="list-style-type:square">
	<li style="text-align:justify">Minimum high school diploma required; College degree preferred in Health Information Technology.</li>
	<li style="text-align:justify">Active accreditation as a Certified Coding Specialist (CCS), Registered Health Information Technician (RHIT) or Registered Health Information Administrator (RHIA).&nbsp;</li>
	<li style="text-align:justify">Minimum of 2&ndash;4 years of related coding experience required, preferably in Outpatient Same Day Surgery.</li>
	<li style="text-align:justify">Ability to lead, mentor and motivate a coding team.</li>
	<li style="text-align:justify">Strong knowledge of NCCI, OCE, and proper modifier usage; Medicare medical necessity regulations and the ABN (OP Coding); injection and infusion coding.&nbsp; (ED Coding)</li>
	<li style="text-align:justify">High attention to detail and commitment to coding accuracy and compliance.</li>
	<li style="text-align:justify">Excellent analytical, organizational and communication skills. &nbsp;</li>
	<li style="text-align:justify">Ability to multitask and prioritize work assignments.</li>

Overview The Accounts Receivable (AR) Team Lead at Riverside Healthcare plays a pivotal role in overseeing all billing and collection activities related to insurance accounts receivable.
