As part of the Emerging Technologies team within ATS, you&rsquo;ll analyze critical issues, identify new opportunities, design and implement advanced technical solutions to strengthen the reliability, resiliency, and efficiency of the New England power grid. Our current expertise spans IBR/EMT modeling and simulation, Synchrophasor/PMU analytics, ML/AI applications, and probabilistic/risk analysis. We&rsquo;re looking for another talent with a strong foundation in power system stability and control with forward-looking experience in IBR/EMT technologies.

How you will make an Impact

<li style="margin: 0in 0in 0in 0px; line-height: normal; font-size: 11pt; font-family: Calibri, sans-serif;">Renewable Integration: Evaluate current study tools and procedures, identify gaps, develop technology roadmaps and solutions to enable the reliable integration of renewable and inverter-based resources. </li>
<li style="margin: 0in 0in 0in 0px; line-height: normal; font-size: 11pt; font-family: Calibri, sans-serif;">EMT Modeling and Studies: Provide comprehensive solutions to address ISO's evolving EMT modeling and study needs.</li>

What we are looking for

<li style="margin: 0in 0in 0in 0px; line-height: normal; font-size: 11pt; font-family: Calibri, sans-serif;">PhD degree in Electrical Engineering, with a focus on power system stability and control.</li>
<li style="margin: 0in 0in 0in 0px; line-height: normal; font-size: 11pt; font-family: Calibri, sans-serif;">Strong background in power system modeling, simulation, and analysis, including experience with IBRs in both phasor and EMT domains.</li>
<li style="margin: 0in 0in 0in 0px; line-height: normal; font-size: 11pt; font-family: Calibri, sans-serif;">Advanced user of commercial tools such as PSS/E, PSCAD, DSATools, PowerWorld, etc.&nbsp; </li>
<li style="margin: 0in 0in 0in 0px; line-height: normal; font-size: 11pt; font-family: Calibri, sans-serif;">Hands-on software development experience in Python, Matlab, C#, Java, etc.</li>
<li style="margin: 0in 0in 0in 0px; line-height: normal; font-size: 11pt; font-family: Calibri, sans-serif;">Good analytical, communication and presentation skills.</li>
<li style="margin: 0in 0in 0in 0px; line-height: normal; font-size: 11pt; font-family: Calibri, sans-serif;">At least five years of experience is required for the Senior level, and eight years of experience is required for the Lead level.</li>

The expected salary range for this position is $123,000 - $168,000 per year. This role is also eligible for an annual performance bonus, comprehensive health insurance (medical, dental and vision), flexible spending and health savings accounts, a 401(k) plan with generous employer contributions and a student debt benefit, life and AD&amp;D insurance, disability insurance, critical illness and hospital indemnity benefits, paid time off, paid leave, a wellness program, an employee assistance program and other great company perks.
