<p>The Lead&nbsp;<span data-markjs="true" data-ogac="" data-ogab="" data-ogsc="" data-ogsb="">Software</span>&nbsp;Engineer II plays an important role in building and enhancing engineering solutions across the organization. This role focuses on designing and delivering reliable, high-quality&nbsp;<span data-markjs="true" data-ogac="" data-ogab="" data-ogsc="" data-ogsb="">software</span>&nbsp;while contributing to technical discussions, improving engineering practices, and supporting team execution. You will work closely with senior engineers and architects to implement scalable, secure, and maintainable systems.</p>

<p>Technical Delivery &amp; Engineering Excellence</p>

<li>Design, develop, and deliver high-quality&nbsp;software&nbsp;iteratively and incrementally.</li>
<li>Works closely with senior leaders to shape solutions.</li>
<li>Ensure&nbsp;software&nbsp;follows modern engineering practices, including clean code, testing, automation, and cloud-native patterns.</li>
<li>Support continuous improvement in code quality, reliability, performance, and developer experience.</li>
<li>Cloud Engineering &amp; Operational Support</li>
<li>Build and enhance distributed, event-driven, and cloud-native solutions in AWS.</li>
<li>Apply cloud best practices—security, cost awareness, performance, and operational efficiency—under guidance of senior engineers.</li>
<li>Contribute to observability through metrics, logging, tracing, dashboards, and alerts.</li>
<li>Assist in performance tuning, resiliency improvements, and troubleshooting production issues to ensure system stability.</li>
<li>Team Collaboration &amp; Mentorship</li>
<li>Collaborate effectively with Product, Architecture, InfoSec, and DevOps to deliver well-aligned solutions.</li>
<li>Contribute to a culture of learning, curiosity, and continuous improvement within the engineering team.</li>

<p>In the first 90 days:</p>

<li>Deliver high-quality, production-ready code and contribute meaningfully to team goals.</li>
<li>Build strong working relationships within the engineering and product teams.</li>

<p>In 6–12 months:</p>

<li>Co ownership of core components or services.</li>
<li>Co Lead development of one or more important services with increasing autonomy.</li>
<li>Help improve system performance, scalability, and reliability.</li>

<li>4 - 6 years of professional&nbsp;software&nbsp;engineering experience.</li>
<li>Strong backend development experience with Java and Python.</li>
<li>Solid understanding of SQL, data modeling, and query optimization.</li>
<li>Working knowledge of AWS cloud architecture, services, and best practices.</li>
<li>Experience with modern databases (relational and NoSQL) such as DynamoDB, RDS, PostgreSQL, DocumentDB.</li>
<li>Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, Docker, and container orchestration systems (ECS/EKS preferred).</li>
<li>Experience with monitoring/observability tools such as CloudWatch or Datadog.</li>
<li>Ability to produce clear technical documentation and participate in design discussions.</li>
<li>Collaboration &amp; Leadership</li>
<li>Strong communication skills with the ability to collaborate across teams.</li>
<li>Comfort working in Agile environments with iterative delivery and shared ownership.</li>
<li>Ability to bring clarity to complex situations and drive work forward with teammates.</li>
