<p>Egan Company is seeking candidates for an Electrical Test Technician position located in Champlin, MN. The Electrical Test Technician is responsible for testing and quality control of electrical control panels (Power components, PLC�s, VFD�s, MCC�s, etc.), Instrumentation Control Panels, and any other manufactured assemblies.</p>

<p><strong>Shifts are Monday through Friday, 6:00 am � 2:30 pm. Overtime may be required based on business needs.</strong></p>

<h3><strong>Responsibilities:</strong></h3>

<ul>
	<li>
	<p>Ensure adherence with various engineering and manufacturing documents including bills of materials, panel layout drawings, electrical schematics that are used to build and wire electrical control panels.</p>
	</li>
	<li>
	<p>Perform continuity and dielectric testing on control panels using multimeters, ohmmeters, or custom testing equipment.</p>
	</li>
	<li>
	<p>Follow company and/or customer testing procedures for final product checkout.</p>
	</li>
	<li>
	<p>Document notes, delays, and issues during the testing process.</p>
	</li>
	<li>
	<p>Assist in 5S activities as required.</p>
	</li>
	<li>
	<p>Identify and assist in Continuous Process Improvement measures.</p>
	</li>
	<li>
	<p>Adhere to all safety and security guidelines applicable to the shop and warehouse.</p>
	</li>
	<li>
	<p>Maintain professionalism with co-workers, customers, sub-contractors, vendors, project managers, office, and field staff.</p>
	</li>
	<li>
	<p>Work in a team environment to accomplish tasks at hand.</p>
	</li>
	<li>
	<p>Other duties as assigned by Management.</p>
	</li>
</ul>

<h3><strong>Qualifications:</strong></h3>

<ul>
	<li>
	<p>Electrical or electronics training, education, or equivalent experience building electrical control panels.</p>
	</li>
	<li>
	<p>Proficiency in reading and interpreting electrical schematics/diagrams.</p>
	</li>
	<li>
	<p>Proven ability to troubleshoot electrical circuits / electrical components.</p>
	</li>
	<li>
	<p>Knowledge of UL508a requirements preferred.</p>
	</li>
	<li>
	<p>Proficiency in using hand and power tools associated with the job in a safe manner.</p>
	</li>
	<li>
	<p>Highly motivated and ability to multi-task.</p>
	</li>
	<li>
	<p>Ability to work independently with limited supervision.</p>
	</li>
	<li>
	<p>Attention to detail, organization, and time management skills.</p>
	</li>
	<li>
	<p>Ability to work well with others.</p>
	</li>
</ul>

	<p>Frequently bends, twists, squats, and lifts with arms extended.</p>

	<p>Ability to stand or sit for extended periods of time.</p>

	<p>Ability to lift and carry 40 pounds (alone) or 50 to 85 pounds with assistance (team)</p>

Electrical/test technician with ability to test and inspect electrical control panels and related components.

<div>We are looking for a detail-oriented Electrical Panel Shop Technician with experience in assembling, wiring, and testing electrical control panels. Candidates should be proficient in interpreting blueprints and schematics, ensuring compliance with industry standards and safety regulations and committed to delivering high-quality workmanship and contributing to team success in fast-paced environments.<br /><br /><strong>RESPONSIBILITIES: </strong></div><ul><li>Assemble, terminate, and wire electrical panels and electrical boxes using the specified tooling and approved workmanship standards, including complete installation into enclosure.</li><li>Perform point to point wiring on a variety of electrical panels and power distribution electrical boxes; using company supplied hand tools, such as crimpers and wire strippers.</li><li>Read and interpret schematic drawings, diagrams, blueprints, specifications, work orders, or reports to determine materials requirements or assembly instructions.</li><li>Position, align, or adjust work pieces or electrical parts to facilitate wiring or assembly.</li><li>The primary focus will be spent wiring panels therefore it is imperative that candidate be proficient at wiring.</li><li>Layout of components in various size cabinets.</li></ul><div><br /></div><div><strong>EDUCATION &amp; EXPERIENCE:</strong></div><ul><li>A minimum of 1 year panel assembly experience</li><li>High school diploma /GED</li><li>Knowledge and experience with electrical wiring, control panels and instrumentation.</li></ul><div><br /></div><div><strong>PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS &amp; ENVIRONMENTAL CONDITIONS:</strong></div><div>The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of the job.
