Summary: Responsible for sorting of hardline goods into salable or salvage categories. Selection of salable goods must meet quality standards while maintaining quantity of hard lines inventory. Responsible for pricing of merchandise, stocking shelves, mark-downs, rotating and displaying merchandise.
Essential Functions:
<ol><li class="MsoNoSpacing">Sort donations into sellable, salvage or trash categories.</li><li class="MsoNoSpacing">Price merchandise using baseline price guides; mark-up special priced items of exceptional value.</li><li class="MsoNoSpacing">Provide quality assurance by checking for tears, stains, wet, smelly, soiled, broken zippers, missing buttons.</li><li class="MsoNoSpacing">Consistently meet production goals.</li><li class="MsoNoSpacing">Ensures a positive donor and customer interaction by providing world class customer service.</li><li class="MsoNoSpacing">Demonstrates the principles of DURT (Donor Urgent Response Team) with every donor interaction and uses the DURT Alert system to ensure all donors receive world class customer service.</li><li class="MsoNoSpacing">Always maintain processing and pricing area in a neat and clean condition.</li><li class="MsoNoSpacing">Appropriately identify the value of items.</li><li class="MsoNoSpacing">Assist with floor rotation of apparel as needed.</li><li class="MsoNoSpacing">Transport merchandise throughout the facility including sales floor, dock area, donor door, etc.</li><li class="MsoNoSpacing">Stock shelves, display, and rotate merchandise, and perform markdowns per GIV procedures.</li><li class="MsoNoSpacing">Transport trash to compactor and operate compactor as needed.</li><li class="MsoNoSpacing">Stay current with industry trends, brands, collectibles, and price points for hardline goods.</li><li class="MsoNoSpacing">Identify potential e-commerce items and set aside for manager approval.</li><li class="MsoNoSpacing">Preplan for adequate supply of donated goods by notifying manager on duty when merchandise is low.</li><li class="MsoNoSpacing">Adheres to all Goodwill personnel policies and procedures.</li><li class="MsoNoSpacing">Follows safety and security practices including reporting safety hazards and injuries to the Manager on Duty.</li><li class="MsoNoSpacing">Performs other duties as assigned by Management.</li><li class="MsoNoSpacing">Attends in-service related training as assigned.</li><li class="MsoNoSpacing">Responsible for performing assigned duties within the framework of our Guiding Principles:</li><li class="MsoNoSpacing">We are committed to providing world-class customer service to all our customers.</li><li class="MsoNoSpacing">We are committed to a clean, neat, and organized and safe facility.</li><li class="MsoNoSpacing">We are committed to keeping all we offer fresh and relevant, including a store with full and fresh inventory.</li><li class="MsoNoSpacing">Donors and shoppers should be greeted within 10 seconds.</li><li class="MsoNoSpacing">Every time we touch a donation, something good should happen to it.</li><li class="MsoNoSpacing">All donations should be processed within 24 hours.</li><li class="MsoNoSpacing">If you have a pile, you have a problem.
