SOLV Energy is a leading provider of infrastructure services to the power industry, designing, building and maintaining utility scale solar, battery storage and high voltage substation projects nationwide.Job Description Summary:The EPC Project Manager will be responsible for the management of all aspects of utility-scale solar projects, including project planning, budgeting, buyout, project controls/reporting, scheduling, risk management, etc. The Project Manager will also provide both leadership and technical expertise internally and externally for project success. This role is located full-time on a jobsite in Yerington, NV and will require travel. Specific location details and expectations will be discussed during the interview process.Job Description:*This job description reflects management&#39;s assignment of essential functions; it does not prescribe or restrict the tasks that may be assignedPosition Responsibilities and Duties:<ul><li>In partnership with superintendent team, plan, execute, and take responsibility for significant scopes of self-performed work, managing very large labor crews.  Plan sequencing, crew-sizes, productivity goals, and monthly labor spend.  Execute work and track actual results, adjusting and refining forecasts to reflect actual production</li><li>Work with Superintendent to develop safety plans and to implement safety procedures</li><li>Oversee preparation of project billings; seek to maximize cash flow in and reduce pay cycles through diligent &amp; strategic billing preparation.  Prioritize the collection of aged receivables and review their status regularly in Owner meetings and conversations.</li><li>Present and negotiate change orders with owner for timely resolution. </li><li>Negotiate cost-effective subcontract and material purchases</li><li>Set up and implement job procedures and techniques to assure timely buyout, shop drawing approval and material delivery</li><li>Keep project on schedule</li><li>Maintain timely and accurate reporting to management, particularly with regard to cost forecasting and estimated cost at completion.</li><li>Manage, train, and supervise project team according to Company policy; act as mentor to younger employees to encourage professional growth and career development.</li><li>Review contract conditions; ensure compliance with all contract terms</li><li>Supervise documentation of all significant project events, e.g., accidents, delays, Change Orders</li><li>Direct preconstruction services and activities</li><li>Negotiate, prepare and issue subcontract bid packages</li><li>Effectively manage project risk; evaluate probability and severity of risk events as they are identified / anticipated and prepare mitigation plans with project team and SOLV operations management.</li><li>Maintain quality control (integrity and excellence of completed project), including development and implementation of Site-Specific Quality Management Plan (SSQMP)</li><li>Avoid or mitigate claims and conflict</li><li>Complete all job close-out procedures</li><li>Conduct warranty follow-up (typical 2-year warranty period)</li><li>Complete project with full or enhanced fee</li><li>Develop and maintain good relationship with Owner, Architect and Subcontractors; develop strategies and skills to build a strong partnership with the Owner, while still ensuring prompt owner notification of impacts and preservation of rights per the Prime Contract</li><li>Extensive coordination with material suppliers to ensure timely deliveries and to develop solutions to logistical and supply-chain challenges.</li><li>Negotiate and coordinate with local Contract Labor Provider to ensure sufficient manpower resources at most competitive commercial terms</li><li>Organize and lead regular meetings with Owner, and key project partners</li></ul>Minimum Skills or Experience Requirements:<ul><li>Engineering, Construction Management or Architectural Bachelor’s degree preferred</li><li>Field construction management experience (5-8 years, including supervisory skills)</li><li>Leadership ability – able to pull together team members from diverse backgrounds in a remote environment and organize them into a cohesive, high-performing project team.</li><li>Strong computer skills with MS Office suite, as well as other industry-standard tools, such as Bluebeam Revu.  CMiC experience a plus.</li><li>Fundamental knowledge of contract law and project accounting</li><li>Thorough understanding of all project management control systems (scheduling, cost control, procurement and estimating)</li><li>Strong understanding of:<ul><li>Utility-scale PV plant construction means, methods, sequencing, and techniques</li><li>Understanding of utility &amp; ISO interconnection sequence &amp; durations</li></ul></li></ul><ul><li>Able to travel extensively (minimum 50%) including lengthy jobsite-based assignments in remote / rural areas.</li><li>Able to build trust and rapport with all SOLV departments for benefit of projects</li><li>Organizational and communication skills; must have strong people skills.</li><li>Detail-oriented, motivated self-starter</li></ul>Objectives or Goals to Measure Performance:<ul><li>Accuracy in proposal schedules driven by strong understanding of project variables, lessons learned from similar projects, and collaboration with internal experts and stakeholders</li><li>Timely resolution of disputed project claims or impacts through sound schedule hygiene</li><li>Broad level of scheduling competence throughout operations team;
