Electrical Engineer In MACOM's MMIC Business Unit we design MMICs and IMAs for aerospace &amp; defense, cellular, and other wireless applications.&nbsp; We are looking for an Analog &amp; Digital engineer with experience designing &amp; analyzing circuits, power supplies, support PCBs, and test systems for RF &amp; Millimeter Wave multi-chip modules.&nbsp; You will: <ul><li>Be responsible for the design, analysis, layout, test, and release of printed circuit boards embedded in RF/MMW integrated microwave assemblies. </li><li>Design of circuits for DC filtering, voltage conversion, and power conditioning for MMICs. </li><li>Design both analog and embedded digital circuits for control of MMICs. </li><li>Hardware interfaces such as SPI, I2C, TCP/IP, UDP, RS-232, RS-422, RS-485, CAN Bus, UART, USB, Ethernet </li><li>Creating schematic circuit simulations and EM simulations where appropriate. </li><li>Analyze analog and digital circuits using tools such as LTspice, MATLAB, TINA, QUCS, Multisim, Python, ICAP/4 SPICE, Scilab, Excel, PSpice, etc. </li><li>Generating layouts and assembly drawings. </li><li>Be responsible for all design activities related to product development activities from kickoff through engineering evaluations. </li><li>Work with our MMIC design, electromagnetic design, mechanical design, assembly, and test teams to develop new products as well as production methods. </li><li>Initiate prototype builds and manage product characterization.&nbsp; You will design evaluation boards and characterization fixtures, then direct or perform measurements. </li><li>Generating design reports, progress reports, test reports, datasheets and bill of materials. </li><li>Organizing design reviews. </li><li>Cooperating with Project Manager in order to maintain an up-to-date project plan and schedule. </li><li>Work with our Product Engineering group to transfer the product to production. </li><li>Keeping up to date with latest technologies (semiconductor, assembly, packaging, tools). </li><li>Maintaining passion for the latest in circuit board technologies and electronics in general. </li><li>Customer support (sampling and application notes). </li><li>Keeping up to date and maintaining passion for the latest advances in electrical &amp; electronics engineering. </li><li>Advocate for PCB-level analog &amp; digital design as a function and core competency within the company </li><li>Generate engineering documentation, CO's, and PLM system entries for design work. </li><li>Update design rules as required. </li><li>Other duties as assigned.</li></ul>Qualifications:<ul><li>B.S. in Electrical Engineering or equivalent, M.S. preferred. </li><li>Bona fide electronics and PCB enthusiast. </li><li>Fluency with SPICE simulation tools. </li><li>Fluency with several programming and/or hardware description languages.&nbsp; Some examples could include C/C++, C#, Ruby, R, Bash, Rust, HTBasic, VHDL, Verilog, FORTRAN, Cobol, BASIC, B. </li><li>Comfort working in general purpose operating systems such as Linux, Windows, Android, SteamOS, FreeBSD, DOS, AmigaOS </li><li>Experience designing both the hardware and software or firmware with embedded digital design toolchains for microcontrollers and FPGA's (such as Atmel, Xilinx). </li><li>Comfort working with RTOS such as ThreadX, FreeRTOS, VxWorks, RTEMS, LynxOS, QNX, Atlas Supervisor </li><li>Familiarity with RF/MMW IMA design techniques. </li><li>Familiarity with RF simulation tools such as MWO or ADS (ADS preferred). </li><li>Familiarity with EM simulation tools (such as HFSS or WIPL-D). </li><li>Familiarity with PCB layout tools such as Altium, PADS, or KiCAD </li><li>Familiarity with RF measurement techniques for small-signal and large-signal characterization of amplifiers: bench calibration, S-parameters, 1-tone and 2-tone power sweep measurements, pulsed measurements. </li><li>Experience with electronic test equipment such as oscilloscope, multimeter, function generator, logic analyzer, LCR meter, thermal camera, curve tracer, time-domain reflectometers, etc. </li><li>Unparalleled time management skills and an unquenching thirst for working for multiple managers with competing priorities and conflicting deadlines. </li><li>Excellent communication, organization and documentation skills. </li><li>Strong Excel, Word, and PowerPoint skills </li><li>Strong interpersonal skills and ability to build long lasting partnerships. </li><li>Ability to work in fast pace environment. </li><li>Willingness to travel occasionally. </li><li>Fluent in spoken and written English. </li><li>Due to ITAR regulations, only candidates who are U.S. Persons (U.S. citizens, U.S. nationals, lawful permanent residents, or individuals granted asylum or refugee status) will be considered for this position.</li></ul>The Salary Range for this position is $100,000 - $138000. Responsibilities: In this senior‑level role, you will plan, schedule, and coordinate the technical execution of complex power generation projects, with a primary focus on power plant control systems. You will design and program both hardware and software solutions for power plants, concentrating on instrumentation, control, and electrical systems to deliver high‑performance, reliable outcomes. You will also contribute to engineering proposals by defining technical scopes, estimating schedules, and planning resources. Collaboration is central to this role—you will work closely with internal teams, clients, and contractors through structured processes such as Design Reviews, Program Reviews, and Project Closeout Meetings. Minimum Requirements:

<li>10–20+ years of experience in controls, electrical, and instrumentation. </li>

<li>Strong knowledge of DCS and/or PLC systems, including programming and implementation.</li>
<li>Demonstrated ability to promote teamwork through effective communication and collaboration with peers, management, and clients.</li>
<li>Ability and willingness to travel approximately 15–30% locally and domestically.</li>
<li>Proactive, resourceful, and highly motivated to deliver projects on time and within budget.</li>
