  <h2>Duties</h2><p>Manages the Logistics Readiness Squadron Training Program. Serves as the unit training advisor by implementing, clarifying, coordinating, and managing OJT policies and procedures. Develops the Logistics Readiness Squadron Formal Training Plan. Conducts various training courses for assigned squadron and base personnel. Develops Education and Training Materials and Testing Procedures. Educates and assists supervisors, trainers and evaluators on effective education and training programs. Serves as the project manager for documenting and tracing all training using various automated software programs to include the Air Force Military Personnel Data System (MILPDS).</p><h2>Qualifications</h2><p>In order to qualify, you must meet the specialized experience requirements described in the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) Qualification Standards for General Schedule Positions, Administrative and Management Positions, Training Instruction Series 1712. SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: Applicants must have at least one (1) year of specialized experience at the next lower grade GS-07, or equivalent in other pay systems. Examples of specialized experience includes 1) Teaching or instructing in an adult education program, secondary school, college, military installation, or industrial establishment in the appropriate field(s). 2) Supervising or administering a training program. 3) Development or review of training/course materials, aids, devices, etc., and evaluation of training results. 4) Work in the occupation or subject-matter field of the position to be filled that required training or instructing others on a regular basis. OR EDUCATION: Successfully completed a master's or equivalent graduate degree or 2 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree or LL.B or J.D. , if related. Major study -- education or a subject area related to the position of Supervisory Training Specialist. NOTE: You must submit a copy of your official transcripts with your application. Knowledge of Logistics Readiness Squadron programs and objectives in order to identify training requirements, skill upgrades, and development programs that will assist in meeting squadron management objectives. 2. Knowledge of the military and civilian training program processes, or training program processes in parallel business and industry organizations in order to develop a comprehensive training program, 3. Knowledge of basic budget preparation as it applies to preparing and operating training budgets. 4. Knowledge of, and skill in developing course materials and instructional methods, principles, and techniques in order to develop self-contained training courses, obtain training resources and assess overall effectiveness in order to meet identified training requirements. 5. Skill in the use of automation software and related equipment. Ability to instruct training courses in a classroom, seminar setting. Ability to communicate, both orally and in writing to include the ability to deal with diverse populations from educationally or vocationally underdeveloped to college graduates is necessary. 6. Ability to plan and organize work. Ability to maintain good working relationships. Knowledge of Air Force safety, EEO and personnel management policies. PART-TIME OR UNPAID EXPERIENCE: Credit will be given for appropriate unpaid and or part-time work. You must clearly identify the duties and responsibilities in each position held and the total number of hours per week. <p><strong>Description: </strong></p>

<p>There are nearly 300,000 teenagers of active-duty U.S. military parents who are stationed all over the world. These teens move an average of seven times during their school-aged years. The questions of identity and belonging that all teens face grow even more challenging to answer amid starting over and meeting new friends at each location.</p>

<p>This is where you can be the difference in a military teen�s life! By being in their world, walking alongside them, and creating a community where they experience the truth of God�s love and purpose for them, our staff provide a safe space where teens can develop friendships and connections to experience laughter, build hope, and generate resiliency.</p>

<p>We are currently providing incarnational ministry at many military installations around the world. You will have the opportunity to lead and oversee the overall Young Life Military program, known as Club Beyond, which is ecumenically focused and outreach oriented.</p>

<p><strong>Responsibilities: </strong></p>

<ul>
	<li>Actively develop healthy relationships with adults, as well as kids, and build vibrant relationships with the local community, the military installation, and the chapel community.</li>
	<li>Be a role model (incarnational) and assist with developing community outreach to "unchurched" teens, discipleship to Christian teens, and leading and equipping volunteers to do "hands-on" middle and high school Christian youth programs.</li>
	<li>Work well in an environment that sees (due to high military operational tempo) a high degree of turnover among teens, families, chaplains and volunteers.</li>
	<li>Be respectful of and embrace a community that is deeply influenced by a military culture.</li>
