Job Purpose:  
The Automation Engineer I is responsible for ensuring the safety, financial, and technical success of projects and work assignments related to the support, service, maintenance, and upgrading of NorthWind’s product offerings. 
 
Job Duties and Responsibilities:

Nursing Faculty Member 		

Teach nursing courses, advise students, coordinate clinical experiences; participate in program development and evaluation.

SUMMARY: The Safety Specialist develops and maintains compliance‑driven safety programs while ensuring accurate documentation and regulatory readiness. The role conducts audits, inspections, and incident investigations to identify hazards and prevent recurrence. Serving as a key liaison with regulatory agencies, the Safety Specialist supports emergency preparedness and PPE management. Through collaboration with leaders and employees, this position promotes a strong culture of workplace safety and accountability.
 
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following: other duties may be assigned. This position will be supporting a split day or PM (second) shift.

<li>Develop, implement, and maintain safety policies, procedures, and programs that meet OSHA, EPA, and other regulatory requirements.</li>
<li>Maintain accurate safety records, incident reports, and all other compliance documentation in both digital and physical formats.</li>
<li>Conduct regular safety audits, inspections, and risk assessments to identify hazards and recommend corrective actions.</li>
<li>Serve as a point of contact for safety-related inquiries, inspections, and investigations from regulatory agencies.</li>
<li>Partners with managers, supervisors, and team leads to promote a culture of safety awareness and accountability.</li>
<li>Assist in incident investigations, root cause analyses, and follow-up actions to prevent recurrence.</li>
<li>Support emergency preparedness planning, including drills, evacuation procedures, and crisis communication protocols.</li>

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:   While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to move about the facility.
