Overview:
Support programs that connect youth development with agriculture and natural resource education. This internship provides hands-on experience delivering 4-H programming alongside agricultural and environmental outreach efforts, helping youth and community members build skills in areas such as leadership, agriculture, and stewardship of natural resources. You’ll work with a supportive team that values experiential learning, mentorship, and strong community relationships. Interns can expect a mix of youth engagement, field-based experiences, and program support activities. Work may take place in classrooms, community spaces, and outdoor settings, with some flexibility in scheduling based on program needs. Responsibilities:
Program & Event Support<ul><li>Assist with planning, coordination, and delivery of Agriculture & Natural Resources and 4-H programs (workshops, field days, youth activities)</li></ul>Community Outreach & Partnerships<ul><li>Support Extension outreach and engagement efforts by building relationships with community members, youth, and agricultural stakeholders, and promoting available programs and resources</li></ul>Research & Evaluation<ul><li>Collect, compile, and analyze program data to evaluate outcomes and impacts, including administering surveys, maintaining records, and contributing to Extension reports</li></ul>Education & Content Development<ul><li>Assist with field-based agricultural education and problem-solving, including irrigation management, forage production, and integrated pest management (grasshoppers)</li></ul>Professional Development & Other Duties<ul><li>Provide technical assistance to agricultural producers by supporting hay and soil sampling efforts, coordinating sample submission, and sharing research-based recommendations</li></ul>

 Position Summary
Our Operations Internship Program creates an opportunity for college students to gain practical hands-on experience while working in their course of study under the close direction of an experienced supervisor/manager. As an Operations Intern, you will learn to support the processes of our company as it relates to production goals and standards. Interns in this position will gain exposure to several aspects of our company including but not limited to: Safety, Aggregates, Asphalt, Concrete, Construction, QC, Sales and the application of regulatory standards in a dynamic industrial setting.
