  <h2>Key Responsibilities</h2>
  <div><div><strong>&nbsp;AI/ML Model Development &amp; Training</strong></div><ul><li>Work with large volumes of complaint data to train and fine-tune LLM-based models for automated complaint detection, classification, and coding.&nbsp;</li><li>Develop and iterate on models that generate intelligent suggestions for complaint resolution, root cause analysis, and corrective/preventive actions (CAPA).&nbsp;</li><li>Prepare, clean, and structure training datasets from existing complaint records to optimize model performance.&nbsp;</li><li>Evaluate model accuracy, precision, and recall using appropriate metrics; continuously improve model quality through iterative training cycles.&nbsp;</li><li>Explore and implement retrieval-augmented generation (RAG) architectures and prompt engineering techniques to enhance model output relevance.&nbsp;</li></ul><div><strong>System Integration &amp; API Development&nbsp;</strong></div><ul><li>Develop and maintain RESTful APIs to serve model predictions and recommendations within existing workflows.&nbsp;</li><li>Collaborate with the team to embed AI capabilities into enterprise applications, ensuring seamless user experiences.&nbsp;</li></ul><div><strong>Web Application Development&nbsp;</strong></div><ul><li>Contribute to front-end development using React and modern JavaScript/TypeScript frameworks.&nbsp;</li><li>Support back-end development with Node.js, building services that connect AI capabilities to user-facing applications.&nbsp;</li><li>Participate in code reviews, testing, and deployment processes following team standards.&nbsp;</li></ul><div><strong>Collaboration &amp; Growth&nbsp;</strong></div><ul><li>Work closely with the Senior Director of Software Engineering, or designee, to align AI initiatives with organizational strategy.&nbsp;</li><li>Stay current with advancements in LLM architectures, fine-tuning methodologies, and AI tooling.&nbsp;</li><li>Document models, training processes, and integration patterns for knowledge sharing and regulatory compliance.</li></ul></div>
  <h2>Skills Knowledge and Expertise</h2>
  <div><div><strong>Education:</strong></div><ul><li>Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, or a related field</li></ul><div><strong>&nbsp;Experience:</strong></div><ul><li>Hands-on experience (academic or personal projects) with Python and ML frameworks such as PyTorch, TensorFlow, or Hugging Face Transformers.&nbsp;</li><li>Experience with cloud-based ML platforms (Azure ML, Google Vertex AI, or AWS SageMaker).</li><li>Understanding of natural language processing (NLP) concepts including text classification, named entity recognition, and sentiment analysis.</li><li>Exposure to vector databases (Pinecone, ChromaDB, Weaviate) and RAG pipeline architectures.</li><li>Exposure to RESTful API design and integration patterns.</li><li>Experience with Git version control and CI/CD workflows.</li></ul><div><strong>Functional/Technical Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:</strong></div><ul><li>Strong problem-solving skills with a willingness to learn and adapt quickly in a fast-paced environment.</li><li>Solid understanding of LLM fundamentals including transformer architectures, tokenization, embeddings, attention mechanisms, and fine-tuning techniques.</li><li>Familiarity with data preparation, feature engineering, and model evaluation methodologies.</li><li>Working knowledge of React and Node.js for web application development.</li><li>Strong problem-solving skills with a willingness to learn and adapt quickly in a fast-paced environment.</li><li>Familiarity with fine-tuning approaches using models such as Google Gemini, OpenAI GPT, or similar foundation models</li><li>Knowledge of medical device industry regulations (FDA, ISO 13485) or quality management systems is a plus.</li><li>Familiarity with SQL and relational database concepts.</li></ul></div>
