This role focuses on supporting operational and risk reporting needs while performing modifications to small and medium-sized databases. The position is structured to grow over time into larger-scale data engineering initiatives, including enterprise data integrations and complex data platforms.Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesFollowing is a summary of the essential functions for this job.  Other duties may be performed, both major and minor, which are not mentioned below.  Specific activities may change from time to time. <ul><li>Design, develop, and maintain reporting datasets, views, and data marts to support operational, risk, and compliance reporting. </li><li>Hands-on experience with relational database technologies, including Microsoft SQL Server (MS SQL), to support data analysis, reporting, transformations, performance tuning, data quality improvement, and database maintenance.  </li><li>Working knowledge of Python for data processing, scripting, automation, and validation tasks in support of reporting and data engineering objectives.  </li><li>Experience working in Linux and Windows operating system environments, including supporting applications, scripts, and data workflows hosted on these platforms.  </li><li>Experience designing, developing, or supporting reporting and data visualization solutions, including the use of Tableau for operational, risk, audit, or compliance reporting. </li><li>Partner with business and technical stakeholders to understand data requirements and translate them into effective data solutions. </li><li>Ingest data from disparate technical platforms through direct data access, file-based transfers, APIs, or database connections. </li><li>Execute data completeness and accuracy exercises to validate data integrity, identify gaps, and remediate data quality issues. </li><li>Develop repeatable processes and automation to support data validation, reconciliation, and reporting consistency. </li><li>Document data definitions, transformations, and lineage to ensure transparency and reuse across reporting solutions. </li><li>Support audit, risk, and governance initiatives by providing traceable and well-controlled data outputs. </li><li>Participate in incident response and root-cause analysis related to reporting or data quality issues. </li><li>Progressively take on larger and more complex data engineering initiatives as skills and experience mature. </li></ul>Desired Experience and Skills <ul><li>Familiarity with Identity and Access Management (IAM) data elements such as identities, entitlements, roles, authentication events, and access reviews. </li><li>Demonstrable  </li><li>Experience performing data completeness, accuracy, and reconciliation exercises across multiple systems. </li><li>Hands-on experience reaching out to technical teams to understand source system capabilities and ingest their data. </li><li>Working knowledge of relational databases and SQL for analysis, reporting, and data transformations. </li><li>Exposure to reporting and visualization tools and the ability to support both recurring and ad-hoc reporting needs. </li><li>Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to analyze data issues across systems and domains. </li><li>Clear written and verbal communication skills for technical and non-technical audiences. </li></ul>Growth and Development Expectations This role is intentionally designed to evolve. The successful candidate will begin by supporting reporting and smaller-scale data initiatives and will grow into larger data engineering responsibilities.
