Description 
Position: Computer Engineer III 
 SAIC is seeking a Computer Engineer III to support the Expeditionary Electronic Warfare Division at NSWC Crane. This position is responsible for performing Threat Load Development on the Joint Counter Radio-Controlled Improvised Explosive Device (RCIED) Electronic Warfare (JCREW) family of electronic jamming systems designed to protect military personnel. The JCREW system is a multi  - form factor system used by the U.S. and our allies to counter both unmanned aerial systems and improvised explosive devices. The ideal candidate will be at the forefront in the design, development and execution of complex systems as well as developing and executing test and evaluation procedures. You will be working onsite in a fast paced and dynamic environment where teamwork and collaboration are essential. Must posses current SECRET clearance and eligible to obtain TS/SCI. 
 Responsibilities: 
 Computer Engineer III will be responsible for the following: 
 ·         Design, develop, and integrate complex software systems and applications aligned to program and mission requirements. 
 ·         Contribute to software architecture and technical solutioning. 
 ·         Lead or support system integration, testing (DT), and defect resolution efforts. 
 ·         Perform advanced debugging, performance tuning, and root cause analysis. 
 ·         Ensure requirements traceability and alignment with system design artifacts. 
 ·         Interface with government stakeholders, including PMAs and organizations such as NAVSEA and NAVAIR, as needed. 
 ·         Enforce secure coding standards and support compliance with RMF/CMMC requirements. 
 ·         Review code, designs, and technical deliverables for quality and compliance. 
 ·         Provide guidance and mentorship to junior developers. 
 ·         Identify and mitigate technical risks.

 SAIC is seeking a Computer Engineer III to support the Expeditionary Electronic Warfare Division at NSWC Crane. This position is responsible for performing Threat Load Development on the Ground  - Based Air Defense (GBAD) and Multi-Function Electronic Warfare systems (MFEW). Both systems represent a modernization effort aimed at protecting Marines from air threats, specifically unmanned aircraft systems (UAS), cruise missiles, and aircraft. GBAD program aims to detect, track, identify, and defeat adversary air threats. It is focused on accelerating the delivery of counter-UAS (C-UAS) technology to Marines. The MFEW system is a crucial, rapidly deployed tool for electronic warfare (EW), often used to support the Marine Air-Ground Task Force (MAGTF). The ideal candidate will be at the forefront in the design, development and execution of complex systems as well as developing and executing test and evaluation procedures. This senior engineer spans embedded processing, networked computing, and edge analytics, ensuring that designs meet requirements for performance, reliability, cybersecurity, and manufacturability from concept through production deployment. The role partners with systems engineering, manufacturing, logistics, and government IPT leads to mature prototypes, supervise build-and-install efforts, and drive continuous improvement across platforms and labs. This position is contingent upon award. Award is expected by the end of the year (2026). &nbsp;Requirements&nbsp;&nbsp;- Master’s degree in Computer Engineering, Electrical/Electronics Engineering, or Mathematics with a concentration in computer science. - 7+ years of professional experience in computer design, software development, or computer networks, including responsibility for end-to-end integration and verification. - Deep knowledge of computer architecture, embedded processing, interface protocols, and operating systems relevant to Navy/DoD mission computing. - Proven ability to translate system requirements into robust hardware/software implementations, conduct trade studies, and manage risk across performance, schedule, and cost constraints. - Experience supervising manufacturing or installation of computer systems and conducting formal verification/validation with government stakeholders. - Familiarity with secure development practices, cybersecurity compliance (RMF/DoD guidelines), and documentation required for Navy accreditation packages. - Excellent communication skills for leading design reviews, writing technical documentation, and briefing senior government leadership. - Active DoD Secret clearance (or clearable to that level) required due to access to classified programs and facilities.&nbsp;&nbsp;- Demonstrated leadership designing and fielding complex computer hardware/software systems for DoD platforms, preferably within NSWC Crane mission areas (EW, sensors, weapons, or expeditionary systems). - Strong background in full-lifecycle digital engineering, including model-based design, rapid prototyping, hardware-in-the-loop testing, and configuration management. - Hands-on proficiency with modern programming languages (C/C++, Python, Java) and HDL/tool flows for FPGA or ASIC development, plus experience integrating COTS single-board computers and networking hardware. - Prior success coordinating manufacturing, installation, and sustainment activities with multi-company teams, ensuring interface compliance and producibility. &nbsp;
