As a Software Development Engineer Intern working in Belvidere, IL, you will be responsible for completing small coding projects under the mentorship of a Software Engineer. Projects will help develop, maintain, or test capabilities of Test and Measurement instruments and will be chosen at the time of the internship.
Key Responsibilities include:

<li>Complete small projects under the mentorship of a SW Engineer</li>
<li>Get training on how to use Anritsu software and hardware. Both manually and automated systems.</li>
<li>Test software before it gets delivered to customer</li>
<li>Create documentation / user guides</li>
<li>Write test scripts (usually python)</li>
<li>Participate in team meetings</li>
<li>This position will be reporting to the Sr. Manager, Field Applications Engineering.</li>

DescriptionPosition Overview:The Computational Research and Development Intern supports SHINE Technologies’ research and development efforts related to processing and transmutation systems for recycling used nuclear fuel. The role focuses on computational analysis, workflow development, and optimization of coupled nuclear systems, with opportunities to contribute to broader fuel cycle studies, test system design, and software development based on background and interests. The base salary range for this position is $20.00/hour-$25.00/hour. This position is an Office role, which requires an employee to work onsite, on average, 3 days per week. We are open to candidates located near one of the following office locations: Minnetonka, MN, Madison, WI, Omaha, NE, or St. Louis, MO.
The full hourly pay range for this position is $16.40 - $21.10. While the full salary grade is provided, the typical hiring salary range for this role is expected to be between $34,100 - $38,430. Annual salary range placement will depend on a variety of factors including, but not limited to, education, work experience, applicable certifications and/or licensure, the position's scope and responsibility, internal pay equity and external market salary data.  In addition to compensation, Medica offers a generous total rewards package that includes competitive medical, dental, vision, PTO, Holidays, paid volunteer time off, 401K contributions, caregiver services and many other benefits to support our employees.
