You will own the development and qualification test program for our Andromeda LH2/LOX expander cycle engine from development through flight, from component level testing through fully integrated engine hotfires. You will be onsite at our Moses Lake Test Site working with the test facility team and engines team to take the engine through all phases of the product lifecycle. You must be ready to stay focused, move fast, self-direct, and learn on the fly.
Responsibilities
<ul>
<li>Develop and maintain engine test requirements</li>
<li>Develop and maintain the engine test plans, breaking down the requirements into discrete test sequences and own the test procedure and schedule to execute them</li>
<li>Own engine as-tested configuration from factory to flight</li>
<li>Own test verification activities to ensure accomplished tests meet requirements</li>
<li>Plan, prioritize, and execute component (turbopumps, pressure-fed injectors, valves, etc.) and full engine test campaigns</li>
<li>Drive test data reviews and perform data analysis, own anomaly investigations and resolutions</li>
<li>Develop and improve configuration tracking tools, test planning tools, and data reduction and trending tools</li>
<li>Design build and troubleshoot fluid, mechanical, instrumentation, and control systems for various test applications</li>
</ul>
Qualifications
<ul>
<li>2+ years of experience in designing, building, and testing of rocket engines, combustion devices, pumps, and valves</li>
<li>Exceptional command of fundamentals, including compressible flow, thermodynamics, control systems, cryogenics, and instrumentation</li>
<li>Strong knowledge of data analysis and data processing</li>
<li>Proficiency with operation and testing of pneumatic, hydraulic, and cryogenic fluid systems</li>
<li>Proficiency with aerospace standard fasteners, seals, tubing, fittings, and commercial off-the-shelf hardware</li>
<li>Proficiency with instrumentation including pressure transducers, thermocouples, accelerometers, and flow meters</li>
<li>Excellent written and verbal communication</li>
<li>Bachelor’s degree in mechanical or aerospace engineering, or similar</li>
<li>Willing to work in person in Moses Lake, Washington</li>
</ul>
Strongly Desired:
<ul>
<li>Strong knowledge of systems engineering fundamentals, and ability to apply that knowledge in practical ways to a fast-paced development program</li>
<li>Proficiency with fluid analysis tools (Siemens AMESim, Thermal Desktop, Python, EES, REFPROP, Excel, or equivalent)</li>
<li>Hands on experience and knowledge of fabrication and assembly of propulsion systems components: turbopumps, combustion devices, valves, electronics, etc.</li>

Position Summary
The Senior Power Supply Analyst performs advanced analytical and modeling work in the Power Portfolio & Strategy Department. This position develops and maintains power supply and portfolio models that inform resource planning, procurement decisions, and policy/regulatory compliance. The Senior Power Supply Analyst supports Grant PUD’s mission to deliver reliable, affordable, and sustainable energy by optimizing the power supply portfolio and providing analytical support for portfolio risk management and the Integrated Resource Plan.
Essential Functions

<li>Develop, build, and maintain long-term portfolio models to evaluate resource adequacy, cost, and risk, including detailed hydroelectric project modeling consistent with the Grant PUD's portfolio.</li>
<li>Evaluate new resource options (energy, capacity, cost, and risk), including renewable resources, energy storage, demand response, and market purchases.</li>
<li>Provide analytical and modeling support for strategies to manage wholesale portfolio risk, including load and resource modeling to support the Integrated Resource Plan, Grant PUD’s Slice auction activities, and other wholesale market transactions.</li>
<li>Collaborate with Finance and Rates/Pricing teams to align portfolio recommendations with budget requirements and Grant PUD's Growth Management Strategies.</li>
<li>Provide analytical support to Trading and Commercial Operations to inform marketing decisions in alignment with Grant PUD goals, including optimization within established risk metrics and limits.</li>
<li>Ensure modeling assumptions, methodologies, and results are clearly documented, transparent, and auditable.</li>
<li>Maintain workflows, processes, and tools that support consistency, transparency, and reproducibility of modeling outputs.</li>
<li>Develop and maintain dashboards, reports, and visualizations to communicate portfolio performance, planning outcomes, risk exposure, and forecast-to-actual performance.</li>
<li>Participate in public meetings and stakeholder workshops to explain modeling results, planning assumptions, and portfolio recommendations.</li>

<li>Five (5) years of progressively responsible professional experience in power supply planning, energy modeling, or utility resource analysis, preferably in a public or municipal utility setting or closely related area.</li>

Preferred Qualifications: (Education and Experience, License, and/or Certification)
<ul>
<li>Experience with resource modeling software or production cost/simulation tools (e.g., Aurora or PLEXOS).</li>
<li>Experience with Python, R, SQL, and/or Power BI (or comparable analytics and visualization tools).</li>

Other Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

<li>Advanced proficiency in data analytics, quantitative methods, and model development/maintenance.</li>
<li>Advanced proficiency with Microsoft 365 applications, including advanced Excel skills.</li>
<li>Working knowledge of Western power markets and wholesale power transactions.</li>
<li>Working knowledge of applicable state and federal laws, regulations, and policies affecting the utility industry.</li>
<li>Knowledge of electric utility operations, including generation, wholesale trading, and an understanding of transmission/distribution concepts.</li>
<li>Experience performing financial, risk, and/or stochastic analysis.</li>
<li>Strong organizational and prioritization skills; ability to manage multiple deadlines and competing priorities.</li>
<li>Strong problem-solving skills and ability to communicate complex technical information clearly through written reports, presentations, and stakeholder discussions.</li>
