They must also be willing to learn new areas of expertise in cybersecurity while working with multiple systems, software, component, and product teams to produce world class cybersecurity solutions for Caterpillar.<br /> </p><p><b>What You Will Do:</b></p><ul><li>Lead a team of approximately 15 with responsibility to design, develop, configure, and test our security-enabling software that targets a wide range of scopes, including full-stack ECU component software, system-wide onboard security software, offboard internal development tools, and ECU supplier manufacturing tools.</li><li>Participate in iterative development and fast delivery of features utilizing up-to-date technologies and practices like Linux, Python, C/C&#43;&#43;, Agile, and emergent design.</li><li>Design &amp; Document Cybersecurity features</li><li>Develop Embedded Cybersecurity solutions that will be implemented in C/C&#43;&#43;, Java, and Python languages</li><li>Validate Embedded Cybersecurity software features used across Caterpillar’s product line</li><li>Lead the team to assess and identify Cybersecurity software risks</li></ul><p></p><p><b>What You Will Have: </b></p><ul><li>Requirements Analysis: Knowledge of tools, methods, and techniques of requirement analysis; ability to elicit, analyze and record required business functionality and non-functionality requirements to ensure the success of a system or software development project.</li><li>Analytical Thinking: Knowledge of techniques and tools that promote effective analysis; ability to determine the root cause of organizational problems and create alternative solutions that resolve these problems.</li><li>Effective Communications: Understanding of effective communication concepts, tools and techniques; ability to effectively transmit, receive, and accurately interpret ideas, information, and needs through the application of appropriate communication behaviors.</li><li>Software Development: Knowledge of software design and development tools and activities; ability to produce software products or systems in line with product requirements.</li><li>Technical Troubleshooting: Knowledge of technical troubleshooting approaches, tools and techniques; ability to anticipate, recognize, and resolve technical issues on hardware, software, application or operation</li></ul><p></p><p><b>Top Candidates Will Also Have:</b></p><ul><li>Advanced degree in Electronics Technology, Electrical/Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.</li><li>Strong people interaction, teamwork, communication, and computer skills are required.</li><li>The candidate must be detail oriented and a proven “self starter,” with a strong record of achievement and results.</li><li>Solid experience with communication networks including Ethernet, J1939 Proprietary, Cat Data Link, and various data link protocols.</li><li>Extensive experience with design and development process of Data Link Communication Protocols</li><li>Desire to work in a fast-paced Agile team environment</li><li>Experience in Cybersecurity</li><li>Experience with GIT configuration management tool</li><li>Ability to read electrical schematics</li><li>Experience with RTOS development (i.e. Free RTOS)</li><li>Experience with CAN, J1939, and other data link protocols</li><li>Experience using Design Patterns and Object-Oriented programming</li><li>Experience with developing Unit Tests and Test-Driven Development</li><li>Experience using debugging tools for embedded systems (e.g. Lauterbach, GDB)</li></ul><p></p><p><b>Additional Information:</b></p><ul><li>The location for this position is Mossville, IL.  This role is on-site Monday to Friday.</li><li>Domestic relocation assistance is available for this position.</li><li>Sponsorship will NOT be offered for this position</li><li>This position may require less than 10% travel.</li></ul><p></p><p>#LI</p><h3></h3><h3></h3><p style="text-align:left"><b>Summary Pay Range:</b></p>$147,760.00 - $221,640.00<p style="text-align:inherit"></p><p style="text-align:left">Compensation and benefits offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, job level, market <span><span><span><span><span><span><span><span><span><span><span><span><span><span><span><span><span><span><span><span><span class="WDM0">location, job-related</span></span></span></span></span></span></span></span></span></span></span></span></span></span></span></span></span></span></span></span></span> knowledge, skills, individual performance and experience.
