This position will include evaluation of a broad range of technical data.</p>
<h1>ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES</h1>

<li>Contribute to the development, build, and test of propulsion flight and ground hardware</li>
<li>Perform structural, fluid, and thermal analysis of mechanical components and/or assemblies</li>
<li>Create component and assembly drawings for flight and ground test hardware</li>
<li>Create and maintain work instructions to install flight hardware onto vehicles</li>
<li>Assist mechanics in integrating all components and assemblies onto the aircraft and/or ground systems</li>
<li>Order materials and components, as required</li>
<li>Test propulsion components and/or assemblies to prepare for integrated subsystem testing</li>
<li>Develop engineering tools, as needed, to complete tasking</li>
<li>Maintain inventory tracking of critical propulsion components</li>
<li>Manage engineering release schedule in conjunction with shop planning</li>

Together with our customers, we drive innovations that are imperative to advancing national security.</p></div><p>To help achieve these efforts, Stratolaunch is seeking a level II or Sr-level Aerodynamics Engineer to support the conceptual design and aerodynamic analyses of hypersonic vehicles. Candidates must have a strong foundation in aerodynamics and flight mechanics, including stability and control, aerodynamic model development, flight simulation, computation fluid dynamics (CFD), and/or relevant wind tunnel testing. Experience with aircraft design and aerodynamic/performance analyses across the speed range from subsonic to hypersonic, is highly desired.</p>

<p>As an Aerodynamics Engineer, you will contribute to a small hypersonic advanced design team, designing current and future Stratolaunch hypersonic vehicles. Your tasking may include conceptual design trade studies, detailed design and analysis tasks, development of analytical tools to support the team, and flight test support of currently operating vehicles.</p>

An ideal candidates will have an aerospace development background and relevant experience in aerospace systems.</p>
<h1>ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES</h1>

<li>Architect, design, analyze, integrate, and test avionics and electrical systems</li>
<li>Maintain configuration control over major avionics system elements including wiring diagrams, 3D CAD, work orders, etc.</li>

<p><b>Position Overview</b></p>

<p>Join NASA Armstrong Flight Research Center’s Advanced Systems Development &amp; Integration team supporting cutting-edge aerospace research and flight test missions. This role provides hands-on engineering experience supporting development, integration, and testing of advanced flight and ground systems.<br />
You will work alongside experienced engineers to translate system requirements into real-world hardware and software solutions supporting innovative aircraft and mission capabilities.</p>

<p><b>Key Responsibilities</b></p>

<p>Support development, integration, and testing of advanced aerospace systems and components<br />
• Assist in translating system requirements into hardware and software design solutions<br />
• Participate in bench testing, troubleshooting, and system validation<br />
• Support system integration across flight and ground systems<br />
• Assist with technical documentation, procedures, and reports<br />
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary engineering teams<br />
• Support laboratory development and checkout activities<br />
• Participate in test execution, data collection, and analysis<br />
• Support troubleshooting and anomaly resolution</p>
