Job Summary: The AV Systems Programmer will be involved in the planning, development, deployment and maintenance of software systems for AV control, monitoring and processing applications. The primary role of this individual will be the development of user interfaces, software files and custom code to achieve the programmatic requirements of the AV system. While knowledge of several platforms is preferred, this position is expected to be focused heavily on Q-SYS based systems.
This position is expected to be involved in the complete life cycle of projects and be heavily focused on the deployment of software solutions at the client’s site. Individual in this position will be expected to be willing to travel to client locations with up to 35% travel, mostly to locations in NYC and Washington DC, but possibly anywhere in the US.
This position is outward facing and requires someone that is passionate about AV and technology and has a deep focus on customer service.
 
Responsibilities: 
<ul>
<li>Programming, deployment and tuning of Audio DSP software files with primary focus on large Q-SYS systems. Programming, deployment and debugging of AV control software systems using scripting and other tools primarily within the Q-SYS environment. Experience with LUA and/or Python is a plus.</li>
<li>Development of AV User Interfaces using primary the Q-SYS Designer platform.</li>
<li>Review and interpretation of AV system design documentation (drawings, specifications, functional narratives and equipment lists).</li>
</ul>
 
Qualifications and Experience: 
<ul>
<li>This role will require close interaction with our clients and as such, excellent interpersonal and communication skills are critical.</li>
<li>Knowledge and experience with Biamp, BSS, Symmetrix or similar systems is a plus.</li>
<li>Experience with UI development for AMX, Crestron, Extron or other platforms is a plus. A background in AV technology and a willingness to learn.</li>
<li>If not currently, the employee must become AVIXA CTS certified within a year of employment.</li>
<li>Experience with Python or LUA programming is a plus.</li>
<li>Prior experience with Q-SYS systems is preferred. Additional experience with Crestron, AMX or Extron systems is a plus.</li>
<li>Experience in the development of plugins, modules, standard code tools, and/or enterprise programming code blocks preferred.</li>
</ul>

Travel: Up to 10 - 35%
Compensation & Benefits: 
The expected base salary range for this role is $85,000 - $115,000 USD per year. Actual compensation will be determined based on a number of factors including skills, experience, qualifications, and location.

Overview:
Lynker is seeking an experienced and sharp Space Weather Testbed Scientific Programmer for a long term contract supporting the National Centers for Environmental Prediction (NCEP) at the Space Weather Prediction Center (SWPC). SWPC operates 24/7 to monitor and forecast conditions in the space environment that affect the performance and reliability of critical technologies on Earth and in space. SWPC supports national security, transportation, power grid resilience, emergency management, and commercial space operations. SWPC is also designated as one of three ICAO Space Weather Centers, supporting international aviation.  The Space Weather Testbed Scientific Programmer selected, will support SWPC Testbed by developing, maintaining, and testing scientific software tools used in space weather modeling, analysis, and forecasting. This position plays a critical role in the research-to-operations (R2O) process by enabling the integration of new models, data sources, and processing workflows into operational test environments. The role requires strong programming and analytical skills, a solid understanding of geophysical or atmospheric data, and the ability to work collaboratively with scientists, developers, and operational forecasters.  The Ideal Space Weather Testbed Scientific Programmer will be located in the Boulder, CO, however the role could operate remotely for the right candidate.

Responsibilities:
Duties of the Space Weather Testbed Scientific Programmer selected will include the following: <ul style="margin-top: 0; margin-bottom: 0;"><li style="font-size: 12pt; font-family: 'Times New Roman',serif; color: #000000; font-weight: 400;" aria-level="1">Write, refactor, and maintain scientific code for processing observational data, running models, and supporting experimental workflows within the SWPC Testbed.</li><li style="font-size: 12pt; font-family: 'Times New Roman',serif; color: #000000; font-weight: 400;" aria-level="1">Support containerization of scientific applications using tools such as Docker or Singularity to ensure reproducibility and scalability.</li><li style="font-size: 12pt; font-family: 'Times New Roman',serif; color: #000000; font-weight: 400;" aria-level="1">Assist in the design, setup, and execution of testbed experiments, including integration of new model output and observational inputs into forecast workflows.</li><li style="font-size: 12pt; font-family: 'Times New Roman',serif; color: #000000; font-weight: 400;" aria-level="1">Perform data analysis and quality control of space weather model and observational datasets to support testbed experiments and product validation.</li><li style="font-size: 12pt; font-family: 'Times New Roman',serif; color: #000000; font-weight: 400;" aria-level="1">Contribute to the development of graphical user interfaces or visualization tools that enhance the usability of forecast tools and data products.</li><li style="font-size: 12pt; font-family: 'Times New Roman',serif; color: #000000; font-weight: 400;" aria-level="1">Collaborate with research scientists, system engineers, and operational staff to ensure code and workflows are aligned with SWPC operational constraints and priorities.</li><li style="font-size: 12pt; font-family: 'Times New Roman',serif; color: #000000; font-weight: 400;" aria-level="1">Support documentation of software, experiments, and evaluation results, and contribute to briefings or technical discussions with stakeholders.</li></ul>

Qualifications:
