Job Summary: The AV Systems Programmer will be involved in the planning, development, deployment and maintenance of software systems for AV control, monitoring and processing applications. The primary role of this individual will be the development of user interfaces, software files and custom code to achieve the programmatic requirements of the AV system. While knowledge of several platforms is preferred, this position is expected to be focused heavily on Q-SYS based systems.
This position is expected to be involved in the complete life cycle of projects and be heavily focused on the deployment of software solutions at the client’s site. Individual in this position will be expected to be willing to travel to client locations with up to 35% travel, mostly to locations in NYC and Washington DC, but possibly anywhere in the US.
This position is outward facing and requires someone that is passionate about AV and technology and has a deep focus on customer service.
 
Responsibilities: 
<ul>
<li>Programming, deployment and tuning of Audio DSP software files with primary focus on large Q-SYS systems. Programming, deployment and debugging of AV control software systems using scripting and other tools primarily within the Q-SYS environment. Experience with LUA and/or Python is a plus.</li>
<li>Development of AV User Interfaces using primary the Q-SYS Designer platform.</li>
<li>Review and interpretation of AV system design documentation (drawings, specifications, functional narratives and equipment lists).</li>
</ul>
 
Qualifications and Experience: 
<ul>
<li>This role will require close interaction with our clients and as such, excellent interpersonal and communication skills are critical.</li>
<li>Knowledge and experience with Biamp, BSS, Symmetrix or similar systems is a plus.</li>
<li>Experience with UI development for AMX, Crestron, Extron or other platforms is a plus. A background in AV technology and a willingness to learn.</li>
<li>If not currently, the employee must become AVIXA CTS certified within a year of employment.</li>
<li>Experience with Python or LUA programming is a plus.</li>
<li>Prior experience with Q-SYS systems is preferred. Additional experience with Crestron, AMX or Extron systems is a plus.</li>
<li>Experience in the development of plugins, modules, standard code tools, and/or enterprise programming code blocks preferred.</li>
</ul>

Travel: Up to 10 - 35%
Compensation & Benefits: 
The expected base salary range for this role is $85,000 - $115,000 USD per year. Actual compensation will be determined based on a number of factors including skills, experience, qualifications, and location.

The position will require programming skills to optimize performance, develop automation scripts, and support application development. This role requires both technical depth in database management and proficiency in programming to ensure seamless integration with business applications. The position will report to the IT Infrastructure Manager and will work closely with the Security Officer to ensure that the database and network environment remains within our HITRUST boundaries.RESPONSIBILITIES:The responsibilities of Database Administrator/Programmer II will include the following:&nbsp;Essential Functions:&nbsp;<ul style="list-style-type: disc;" data-pasted="true"><li>Install, configure and maintain database systems as well as database design, backups, auditing and logging.</li><li>Implement and manage database security, backups, recovery plans, and disaster recovery strategies.</li><li>Develop and maintain automation scripts for routine database tasks using programming languages (Python, PowerShell, Bash, SQL, C#, Java, etc.).</li><li>Previous experience with ETL tools such as Mirth (NextGen), Snowflake, PilotFish, SSDT and others.</li><li>Knowledge of different healthcare related data formats HL7, CCDA, 837, FHiR and others.</li><li>Create ETL workflows using Mirth Connect (NextGen) and ad-hoc scripting where necessary.</li><li>Work closely with the Security Officer and compliance department to ensure all policies, procedures and auditing are in place and adhered to.</li><li>Identify and resolve issues related to database.<s>&nbsp;</s></li><li>Work closely with internal and external IT support staff to help resolve incidents or requests.</li><li>Assist users with accessing and using database resources.</li><li>Perform regular audits to ensure data integrity, consistency, and compliance with organizational standards.</li><li>Monitor the performance of databases to identify and address potential problems.</li><li>Create and maintain documentation related to database configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting steps.</li><li>Keeping up-to-date with the latest technologies and trends in database management.  Also, provide input for recommendations on IT solutions.</li></ul>Non-Essential Functions:May assume additional responsibilities as requested.&nbsp;MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:<ul><li>Bachelor&rsquo;s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent work experience).</li><li>3+ years of experience as a Database Administrator.</li><li>Knowledge of HIPAA, HITECH, PHI, PII</li><li>Experience in medical data setting, healthcare quality measures highly desirable.</li><li>Familiar with HITRUST/SSP</li><li>Strong knowledge of MS SQL Server database management. &nbsp;Experience in other database systems (i.e. Oracle, MySQL, MS Fabric, etc.) highly desirable.</li><li>Knowledge of ETL processes, EMPIs, APIs, data warehousing, and database design principles.</li></ul>&nbsp;LICENSE/CERTIFICATION:&nbsp;<ul><li>Minimum Required: N/A</li></ul></div></div></div></div></div></div></div>
