Role/Responsibilities:&nbsp;
<ul>
<li>Provides custom software design and development of CNO tools and techniques.</li>
<li>Designs and develops end-to-end data flow and tasking into CNO tools developed.</li>
<li>Provides/authors documentation, participate in design, code, and software readiness reviews in accordance with the Government's software development procedures and processes.</li>
<li>The Level 1 CNO Analyst/Programmer shall possess the following capabilities: Program in Assembly, C, C++, Java, Perl, or Python.</li>
<li>Develop Windows applications using Visual Studio or .NET environments; UNIX applications using make files or comparable build environments; or, Embedded or mobile platform development using proprietary, GOTS, or open source build environments.</li>
<li>Provide/author documentation, participate in design, code, and software readiness reviews as prescribed by the Government's software development procedures and processes.</li>

Education &amp; Related Experience:&nbsp;
Bachelor's degree or experience must be in computer science, information systems, or network engineering. Required experience, a Masters and two years; a Bachelors and four years; High school Diploma and 8 years.&nbsp;&nbsp;

OVERTIME STATEMENT:
40 hours is the standard workweek. Some programs may allow additional hours to be worked as needed. A limited number of programs have on-call requirements where compensation is provided for being engaged to wait. In all circumstances, technical employees will be paid for all time worked.
BONUS STATEMENT: All billable employees are eligible to earn quarterly bonuses that are based on the number of hours worked for that period. This hourly requirement is roughly 92%&nbsp;of hours available to bill in a given quarter. Quarterly Hours Bonuses are paid out on the same payroll as the time worked in that prior quarter (typically 21 days after the quarter ends.)

Overview:
Applied Mathematician/Analyst (E30-2026-24952): Bowhead seeks an experienced Applied Mathematician/Analyst with expertise in advanced mathematical modeling, statistical analysis, physics, and software development.   ***This position will require onsite work at the Bowhead office or Navy installation. ***

Responsibilities:
The Applied Mathematician/Analyst requires a balanced skill set including mathematical modeling, software and tool development, and the ability to communicate insights clearly to diverse stakeholders. Skilled in solving complex, research & development / prototype problems using high-level mathematics to support critical U.S. defense mission objectives.Job duties include but are not limited to:<ul style="margin-top: 0in;"><li style="margin-bottom: 6.0pt;">Develop mathematical models, algorithms, and simulations to solve real-world, open-ended defense-related problems.</li><li style="margin-bottom: 6.0pt;">Leverage experience in mathematics and software development to design, implement, analyze, and deploy improvements for weapons systems extremely important to short and long-term effects on U.S. defense.</li><li style="margin-bottom: 6.0pt;">Apply advanced mathematics, physics, statistics, predictive modeling, and machine learning techniques to identify meaningful patterns and generate actionable insights from complex datasets.</li><li style="margin-bottom: 6.0pt;">Develop analysis software and tooling to enhance analysis abilities and speed integration of techniques developed in this position into real-world systems.</li><li style="margin-bottom: 6.0pt;">Use Modeling and Simulation to analyze performance of existing and new techniques on simulated and real-world data.</li><li style="margin-bottom: 6.0pt;">Design, create, verify, and document software components to deliver stakeholder value.</li><li style="margin-bottom: 6.0pt;">Present technical findings and insights in ways that are clear and impactful for both technical and non-technical audiences.</li><li style="margin-bottom: 6.0pt;">Manage and exploit internal and external data sets, ensuring integrity and value in data-driven operations.</li></ul>

Qualifications:
