This role is in the the Scientific Computing, Automation and Development (SCAD) team in the IBPE Engineering organization. The SCAD team supports engineering analysis in Framatome's Installed Base Products and Engineering organization for the existing light water reactor fleet, advanced reactors, and small modular reactors. The ideal candidate will have a BS in Mechanical or Civil engineering, with a minor or strong course work in computer science. Your work will include developing Safety Related software in Python for automation of engineering calculations in solid mechanics, thermal hydraulics, computational fluid dynamics and other engineering disciplines. You'll work directly with engineering teams to understand their calculation needs and define appropriate software scopes. You'll be relied upon to provide support and training to engineers to enable them to complete their work efficiently and with high quality. 

What You’ll Do Day-To-Day:
<ul><li>Perform standard engineering assignments typically in areas of design, development, analysis, evaluation, testing, preparation of specifications, execution of field tasks, resolution of field problems, and resolution of quality events. </li><li>Develop awareness of government regulations, organization, industry and customer engineering standards with support of senior staff.  </li><li>Under a mentor’s guidance, evaluate, select and apply standard techniques, procedures, and criteria using judgement in making minor adaptations and modifications.  </li></ul>

What You'll Bring:
