The Opportunity
Ulteig is looking for a talented software engineer who is seeking to solve exciting and challenging technical problems leveraging the Azure stack of services. This role will join the Renewables – Electrical team and develop software to optimize Ulteig’s engineering work and processes. This role will be collaborating with engineers and other software developers innovating Azure SaaS solutions for Ulteig. This role reports directly to the Technical Leader and resides within the company’s Renewables Electrical Engineering Department.
 
What You’ll Do

<li>Develop code to enable SaaS Azure based web application.</li>
<li>Contribute to the architecture, design, implementation of new solutions to enhance engineering workflows.</li>
<li>Partner with other teams to understand features and requirements.</li>
<li>Empowered to contribute to the end-to-end solutions inclusive of architecture, design, code, test, and telemetry accountabilities. </li>
<li>Develop and implement new solutions and/or features within existing tools.</li>
<li>Contribute to a highly collaborative team atmosphere.</li>
<li>Contribute to the continued forward evolution of an iterative delivery team.</li>
<li>Partner with engineering and cross‑functional teams to understand workflow needs, constraints, and feature requirements.</li>

What We Expect from You 
<ul>
<li>4-year Computer Science or comparable degree.</li>
<ul>
<li>Electrical Engineering knowledge, preferred</li>
</ul>
<li>1-5 years’ experience building and shipping software</li>
<li>Experience developing software solutions that support and enable multidisciplinary engineering teams, with an understanding of engineering workflows, tools, and end‑user needs.</li>
<li>Familiarity with working in an engineering environment (electrical design and studies, renewables, or similar) preferred.</li>
<li>Demonstrated experience within C#, JavaScript/Typescript, React/Vue, TSQL, Python or equivalent.</li>
<li>Ability to operate with a growth mindset within a highly engaged team.</li>
<li>Problem solving, debugging, and troubleshooting skills.</li>
<li>Development experience within Azure platform beneficial.</li>
<li>Previous DevOps experience is preferred but not required</li>
<li>Experience working within an iterative development environment</li>

Cloud Architecture and Development

	<li>Develop serverless and microservices architectures for device provisioning, authentication, and secure communication</li>
	<li>Implement real-time data ingestion pipelines for edge device telemetry</li>

Work Environment and Physical Requirements

This position is primarily office based and involves regular computer work and collaboration. The role requires the ability to remain in a stationary position for extended periods, operate standard office equipment, and occasionally move equipment weighing up to 30 pounds. Limited travel may be required.

Compensation for this role is a base salary of $135,000 to $155,000 along with a corporate incentive plan target of 10% of base salary.
