<p><strong>Summary</strong></p>

<p>AOI is seeking a Software QA Engineer with 10+ Years of experience testing embedded Firmware and software applications in the cable industry. As a Senior Staff QA Engineer, you will help lead the quality strategy for our next-generation smart amplifiers. With over a decade of experience, you will act as a "gatekeeper of quality," ensuring our devices deliver a seamless digital experience for our customers. Beyond traditional testing, you will participate in the definition and implementation of a nascent automation initiative, building scalable frameworks from the ground up and mentoring a growing team to adopt automated testing as a core discipline.</p>

<p><strong>Primary Responsibilities</strong></p>

<ul>
	<li>
	<p><strong>Quality:</strong> Define quality parameters and design test procedures specifically for connected smart home products.</p>
	</li>
	<li>
	<p><strong>Technical Mentorship:</strong> Act as a coach for the engineering team, providing guidance on testing techniques, establishing KPIs, and promoting best practices for testability.</p>
	</li>
	<li>
	<p><strong>End-to-End Strategy:</strong> Drive quality initiatives across the full software development lifecycle (SDLC), from initial requirement reviews to final production release.</p>
	</li>
	<li>
	<p><strong>CI/CD Integration:</strong> Partner with DevOps to embed automated testing into continuous integration pipelines, reducing regression cycles and manual effort.</p>
	</li>

<p><strong>Minimum Qualifications</strong></p>

<ul>
	<li>
	<p><strong>Education:</strong> Bachelor�s or Master�s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical field.</p>
	</li>
	<li>
	<p><strong>Experience:</strong> 10+ years in Software Quality Assurance or similar customer quality focused roles.</p>
	</li>
	<li>
	<p>Expertise in C/C++ or Python for firmware and middleware validation.</p>
	</li>
	<li>
	<p>Deep knowledge of cable network and embedded device architectures.</p>
	</li>
	<li>
	<p>Proficiency in modern QA tools like JIRA, Zephyr, Labview.</p>
	</li>
	<li>
	<p>Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams in a matrixed environment and drive strategic quality improvements.</p>
	</li>
</ul>

<p><strong>Preferred Skills</strong></p>

<ul>
	<li>
	<p>Deep understanding of Project Management principles related to customer delivery of software projects � planning, estimating, reporting.</p>
	</li>
	<li>
	<p>Direct experience with DOCSIS standards or cable industry-specific networking hardware.</p>
	</li>
	<li>
	<p>Knowledge of cybersecurity principles.</p>
	</li>
	<li>
	<p>Experience with cloud-native IoT platforms (e.g., AWS IoT, Azure IoT) and data analytics for performance monitoring.</p>
	</li>
	<li>
	<p>Familiarity with network diagnostic tools like Wireshark, Viavi, and logical analyzers.</p>
	</li>
</ul>

<p>This position will be on-site based in Sugar Land, Texas.</p>
