You will work together with Engineers from many domains to improve test frameworks, support new test strategies, and drive standardization of test data. In a highly collaborative team environment, you will take a stake in the team’s mission to align with software engineering best practices and master our craft. This includes developing software, reviewing code, integration testing, and leveraging CI/CD pipelines, etc. Ultimately, you will be responsible for ensuring quality software solutions are delivered to both internal and external customers.</span></p> <br><strong>The day-to-day</strong><br><br><ul><li>Digesting top-level requirements and providing feedback to ensure they are concise, testable, and realistic</li><li>Deriving software requirements from stakeholder needs</li><li>Designing and documenting test software frameworks, services, utilities, libraries, file formats, and standard conventions to allow for long-term test station operation, maintenance and support</li><li>Reviewing and testing both individual contributions and those of colleagues and collaborators</li><li>Participating in continuous improvement activities to help find opportunities for reuse as well as process modifications that drive development efficiencies</li><li>Imparting knowledge and expertise of test equipment and instrumentation in software designs</li><li>Participating in technical discussions and support inquiries</li><li>Collaborating with interdisciplinary engineers to create solutions that support the factory</li></ul> <br><strong>What you'll need</strong><br><br><ul><li>Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering/Bachelor of Science in Computer Science, similar technical degree, or equivalent experience</li><li>5+ years systems and test experience in complex environments</li><li>Experience developing software in a team environment using version control, build automation, bug tracking, test driven development and similar processes/technologies</li><li>Highly experienced with National Instrument’s TestStand and C#</li><li>Experience with Python</li><li>Experience implementing test automation, instrument drivers, and other test tools</li><li>Experience creating software test plans to demonstrate requirements coverage and compliance</li><li>Experience creating fully documented reusable libraries, abstractions, and APIs</li><li>Results oriented with a high degree of accountability, commitment, and responsibility</li><li>Up to 10% travel</li></ul> <br><strong>What will help you on the job</strong><br><br><ul><li>Knowledge of current test software development industry tools and standard methodologies.</li><li>Knowledge of Object-Oriented programming and design patterns</li><li>Good understanding of security, user privileges, and system administration</li><li>Experience with National Instrument LabVIEW</li><li>Experience with networking (TCP, UDP, Multicast, etc.) and network devices.</li><li>Experience communicating with RF instrumentation</li><li>Excellent communication skills</li><li>Intellectual curiosity and test mentality</li><li>Desire to grow and ability to quickly learn</li></ul> <br><strong> Salary range</strong><br><br>$140,500.00 - $221,500.00 / annually.
