JOB SUMMARY
The Zetec Engineering team focuses on the design and development of non-destructive eddy current test systems and probes. This role is a challenging, diverse, and rewarding position where you will have the ability to influence a variety of projects and products of Zetec. The team supports robotics, instrumentation, desktop applications and the automation of it all.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
&middot; Performs intermediate to complex analysis and design for existing and/or new Zetec software products.
&middot; Designs, develops, maintains, and troubleshoots software programs for a variety of hardware platforms including desktop PC and handheld devices.
&middot; Assists with defining requirements for new and/or existing software programs.
&middot; Completes and communicates moderately complex design and performs moderately complex maintenance on existing software products. In addition, it includes extension and creation of automated tests for said designs and maintenance.
&middot; Works with Product Test team to enable them to complete program testing.
&middot; Interfaces with Zetec departments and/or customers to facilitate communication and exchange of ideas.
&middot; Designing unit tests and or retrofitting code for tests to support our high-quality standards.
&middot; May also develop and implement signal treatment algorithms.
&middot; May be requested to give basic software or SDK training.
&middot; Follows all company safety policies and procedures.
&middot; Occasional extended hours may be required to fulfill the requirements of this position.
&middot; Other duties as required in support of the department and the company.

As a Software Engineer on the PCBA design and manufacturing team, you will be responsible for building and maintaining software that interfaces with manufacturing equipment on our production line, with the goal of making our PCBA manufacturing process faster and more reliable. This is a high-autonomy role that will require building close relationships with manufacturing staff to understand issues, and coming up with software solutions interfacing with APIs or hardware that may have little or no documentation or vendor support. We are looking for people who like to own a problem from start to finish in a high-responsibility and low-micromanagement environment!
RESPONSIBILITIES:

<li>Develop highly reliable software solutions that are used across SpaceX production and engineering</li>
<li>Create new applications that improve how SpaceX production operates</li>
<li>Build prototypes to prove out key design concepts and quantify technical constraints</li>

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS: 
Pay range: &nbsp; &nbsp; Software Engineer/Level I: $125,000.00 - $145,000.00/per year &nbsp; &nbsp; Software Engineer/Level II: $145,000.00 - $175,000.00/per year
Your actual level and base salary will be determined on a case-by-case basis and may vary based on the following considerations: job-related knowledge and skills, education, and experience.
Base salary is just one part of your total rewards package at SpaceX. You may also be eligible for long-term incentives, in the form of company stock, stock options, or long-term cash awards, as well as potential discretionary bonuses and the ability to purchase additional stock at a discount through an Employee Stock Purchase Plan.
