Job Summary:
Indiana Packers is seeking dedicated and hardworking individuals to join our team to fulfill our Rendering position. A member in the Rendering team is responsible for tending equipment used to render and process animal source material including animal fat, bones, meat scrapes and rendering tallow from fat. 
 Responsibilities:
<ul>
<li style="text-align:justify;line-height:normal;">Completes inspection of equipment to determine if sanitation is adequate to begin rendering process.</li>
<li style="text-align:justify;line-height:normal;">Assembles rendering equipment including expellers, grinders, pumps, pipes, blades, cooking tanks.</li>
<li style="text-align:justify;line-height:normal;">Tests equipment to determine proper functioning.</li>
<li style="text-align:justify;line-height:normal;">Opens valves and start pumps and conveyors to move materials through rendering process.</li>
<li style="text-align:justify;line-height:normal;">Monitors temperature gauges and rate of flow and condition of materials passing through cookers, expellers, and grinders; adjust valves and rate of flow.</li>
<li style="text-align:justify;line-height:normal;">Dumps guts, bones, tissue, and other inedible parts into a chute leading to storage containers for cooking tanks for inedible processing.</li>
<li style="text-align:justify;line-height:normal;">Labels storage containers as "Not for Consumption".</li>
<li style="text-align:justify;line-height:normal;">Contacts maintenance mechanics for troubleshooting equipment malfunction</li>
</ul>
 Qualifications 
<ul>
<li style="text-align:justify;line-height:normal;">At least 18 years of age</li>
<li style="text-align:justify;line-height:normal;">Must be able to work from August 2025-February 2026</li>
<li style="line-height:normal;">Comfortable working with raw meat/or carcass parts</li>
<li style="line-height:normal;">Able to operate or work near mechanical production equipment and/or cutting tools </li>
<li style="text-align:justify;line-height:normal;">Capable of performing the physical requirements of the position, including repetitive movement of grasping and pinching hands, flexing, and extending arms, bending, twisting, and lifting or exerting a force of at least 35 lbs. while standing on concrete floors and/or platforms for extended periods of time</li>
<li style="text-align:justify;line-height:normal;">Willing to work in hot environments (100+ degrees) </li>
<li style="text-align:justify;line-height:normal;">Must be able to work in wet, humid, and odorous environments</li>
<li style="line-height:normal;">Must be able to read, write and understand instructions in English effectively</li>
<li style="text-align:justify;line-height:normal;">Work while wearing all necessary Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)</li>

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally exposed to a variety of extreme conditions on the site including exposure to fumes or airborne particles, moving mechanical parts and vibration. The noise level in the work environment can be loud and hearing protection is required. The position regularly works near moving mechanical parts and in cold, hot, and outdoor conditions that include inclement weather, heat and humidity, and exposure to dust.

The position lifts heavy objects up to 50 lbs., walks and stands for long periods of time and performs strenuous physical labor under adverse field conditions. This manufacturing position earns a competitive wage of $21.46 per hour for the first shift and $22.46 per hour for the second shift. Third shift positions start at $21.96 per hour.
This factory position is needed for 8 - 10 hours a day, including Saturdays as needed. First shift hours are from 6:00am - 2:30pm, second shift from 2:00pm - 10:30pm and third from 10:00pm-6:30am.

Summary:
Indiana Packers Corporation is seeking a Production Supervisor for the Rendering department for 2nd shiftoperations. The Rendering Supervisor oversees the rendering process, operating procedures, and working conditions. This position is responsible for supervising rendering employees in a processing environment and ensuring established daily production and quality targets are achieved. The Rendering Supervisor will utilize their skill, experience, and decision-making ability to ensure product through the department meets company, customer, and government specifications.
Responsibilities:
<ul>
<li>Lead the activities of the team members in the production of quality products in accordance with established and accepted company criteria.</li>
<li>Implement and maintain safety standards throughout his/her area of responsibility as required by law and company policy.</li>
<li>Direct and implement job related training for all team members in his/her department while ensuring company job rotation minimums are met.</li>
<li>Utilize strong communication skills to properly coach and guide team members to resolve employee issues and ensures corrective actions are implemented and followed.</li>
<li>Create and foster a high morale workplace with the highest ethical standards by treating all team members with dignity and respect.</li>
<li>Manage the completion of production schedules as determined by the superintendent or designee.</li>
<li>Ensure all proper processing procedures (quality, safety, etc...) are adhered to and not compromised.</li>

Qualifications:

<li>Minimum of a High School Diploma or G.E.D. equivalent.</li>
<li style="line-height:normal;">1+ years leadership experience in a manufacturing environment, meat processing preferred.</li>
<li>Mechanical aptitude to direct and delegate correcting mechanical equipment issues.</li>
<li>Knowledge of USDA and HACCP procedures.</li>
