Job Description: Summary:The Manager of Salesforce &amp; Product Owner is a central role in the delivery of products for Excellus. This position works with stakeholders throughout the organization to define and prioritize features, while working with architects and their teams to ensure each feature is successfully delivered to a measurable standard. This position serves as the primary interface between the business, their development teams, and Salesforce with the emphasis on representing our customers to the teams. The individual will help shape and execute the product strategy that meets the department goals, engage in business case development, and ensure adherence to the Agile Scrum process. This position manages and develops Salesforce administration / programming staff and directs the accurate, effective, and efficient configuration, programming, support, and maintenance of assigned components of the company’s core and integrated business applications.Essential Accountabilities:<ul><li>Define &amp; communicate the overall vision, objectives, and goals of the business. Manages the roadmap, and releases in collaboration with the business &amp; IT stakeholders.</li><li>Defines scope through prioritization and management of a product backlog. Proactively manages changes in scope, identifies potential risks, and works with management and development team(s) to create recovery plans.</li><li>Lead and manage of the Salesforce product Road Map and future product strategy.</li><li>Learn, develop and gain insight in all aspects of the Salesforce tool and its capabilities.</li><li>Regularly keep stakeholders up-to-date and informed throughout project or product life cycle. Keeps applicable documents and tracking systems updated with relevant information related to the project requirements, updates, and delivery status.</li><li>Breaks down high level pieces of work (Epics) into manageable pieces (Features).</li><li>Works with Business Stakeholders to identify the minimal viable product (MVP).</li><li>Works with the development team(s) to elaborate requirements including detailed user flow diagrams and test specifications.</li><li>Interfaces with other Team Product Owners to manage dependencies within integrated products.</li><li>Define and proactively monitor key performance metrics to communicate the status of backlog deliverables. Identify opportunities for process optimization and redesign that will allow us to accomplish objectives more quickly and at a higher level of probability.</li><li>Support strategies and features for large scale projects, including migrations, integrations with other systems and automations.</li><li>Own the product backlog and lead grooming sessions as the subject matter expert (SME) and define feature products. Plan and ensure that there is enough ready backlog to sustain a large Agile team for multiple two-week sprints.</li><li>Consistently demonstrates high standards of integrity by supporting the Lifetime Healthcare Companies’ mission and values, adhering to the Corporate Code of Conduct, and leading to the Lifetime Way values and beliefs.</li><li>Maintains high regard for member privacy in accordance with the corporate privacy policies and procedures.</li><li>Maintains knowledge of all relevant legislative and regulatory mandates and ensures that all activities are compliant with these requirements.</li><li>Conducts periodic staff meetings to include timely distribution and education related to departmental and Ethics/Compliance information.</li><li>Regular and reliable attendance is expected and required.</li><li>Performs other functions as assigned by management.</li></ul>Minimum Qualifications:<ul><li>Minimum ten (10) years of experience as a business analyst, Product Owner, Scrum Master or related field required.</li><li>Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, Business, or related degree required. In lieu of a Bachelor’s Degree, sixteen (16) years of experience required.</li><li>Experience with Salesforce preferred.</li><li>Prior health insurance experience or knowledge preferred.</li><li>Prior experience supervising or managing people and/or projects or indirectly leading teams.</li><li>Experience in either a Scaled Agile environment or in a new Agile rollout preferred. Experience with Agile, Scrum, Automated Testing preferred.</li><li>Certified Scrum Master, Certificated Scrum Product Owner, or Lean Six Sigma Green Belt Certifications preferred.</li><li>Experience in the Health Plan or healthcare industry especially as it relates to overall health insurance value chain and processes preferred.</li><li>Experience writing requirements or user stories that are clear, concise and well organized.</li><li>Strong communication skills: oral presentations, writing, negotiation, active listening, influence positive team dynamics.</li><li>Strong project management skills: business acumen, seen as the decision maker when interfacing with the business, and willingness to dissent with both teams and business.</li><li>Critical thinking and analytical approach to providing solutions.</li><li>Ability to align and motivate a team to achieve objectives.</li></ul>Physical Requirements:<ul><li>Ability to work prolonged periods sitting and/or standing at a workstation and working on a computer.</li><li>Ability to work while sitting and/or standing at a workstation viewing a computer and using a keyboard, mouse and/or phone for three (3) or more hours at a time.</li><li>Ability to work in a home office for continuous periods of time for business continuity.</li><li>Ability to travel across the Health Plan service region for meetings and/or trainings as needed.</li><li>The ability to hear, understand, and speak clearly while using a phone, with or without a headset.</li></ul>************In support of the Americans with Disabilities Act, this job description lists only those responsibilities and qualifications deemed essential to the position.Equal Opportunity EmployerCompensation Range(s):Grade E8: Minimum $98,297 - Maximum $176,935The salary range indicated in this posting represents the minimum and maximum of the salary range for this position.
