<p>We are currently seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join our team.  As a Senior Software Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining sophisticated software applications using Python, C#, C++, and Linux. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-performance, scalable, and user-friendly applications that meet our clients' needs. This position works in a team environment at our home office in Newburgh, IN. This is not a remote position. </p>
<p>This position reports to the Manger of Software Systems.</p>
<p><strong>Duties and Responsibilities </strong></p>
<ul><li>Design, develop, and maintain software applications using Python, C#, C++, and Linux.</li><li>Collaborate with product managers, designers, and other engineers to define project requirements and deliver innovative solutions.</li><li>Optimize code for performance, scalability, and maintainability.</li><li>Conduct code reviews and provide mentorship to junior engineers.</li><li>Stay up to date with the latest industry trends and technologies to ensure our solutions remain at the forefront of innovation.</li><li>Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues.</li><li>Contribute to the continuous improvement of our development processes and practices.</li></ul>
<p><strong>Qualifications &amp; Competencies</strong></p>
<ul><li>Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.</li><li>7+ years of professional experience in software development with a strong focus on Python, C#, C++, and Linux.</li><li>Proficiency in Python, C#, and C++.</li><li>Experience with Linux operating systems and development environments.</li><li>Strong understanding of software design patterns, data structures, and algorithms.</li><li>Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git) and continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines.</li><li>Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.</li><li>Strong communication and collaboration skills.</li><li>Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.</li></ul>
<p><strong>Preferred Qualifications: </strong></p>
<ul><li>Experience with other programming languages such as Java or Rust.</li><li>Knowledge of cloud computing platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).</li><li>Familiarity with containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).</li><li>Experience with performance profiling and optimization tools.</li></ul>
<p><strong>Working Conditions</strong></p>

	<li>Hands-on experience on troubleshooting FW for embedded systems.</li>
	<li>Experience with CI/CD Build/Release Pipelines (Azure Devops, Jenkins, etc).</li>
	<li>Experience managing repositories branches and integration work.</li>
	<li>Experience integrating and managing OSS (Open Source Software).</li>
	<li>Experience with C++ programming language.</li>
	<li>Experience on Firmware Release management.</li>
	<li>Experience with Python programming language.</li>
	<li>Experience with non-volatile databases/data storage for embedded systems.</li>
	<li>Exposure to FW projects that follow Cybersecurity requirements.</li>
	<li>Highly organized professional, able to deal with different subjects in a fast paced environment.</li>

	<li>Design FW solutions and provide time estimations for development efforts.</li>
	<li>Create and maintain customized Linux Image for embedded platform.</li>
	<li>Integrate, manage, and maintain OSS (Open Source Software).</li>
	<li>Repository branches and integration work to ensure smooth and efficient code integration.</li>
	<li>Maintain and manage CI/CD build/release pipelines.</li>
	<li>Conduct hands-on troubleshooting and testing of firmware on the bench and in the field to ensure functionality and performance.</li>
	<li>Develop and maintain firmware on Linux embedded platforms, ensuring high performance and reliability.</li>
	<li>Develop and maintain core functionalities of the system, such as:</li>
	<li>Non-volatile databases and data storage.</li>
	<li>Inter-process communication mechanisms.</li>
	<li>System Startup.Log system.</li>
	<li>Integrate and maintain static analysis tools.</li>
</ul>
