 Job Summary:
Under general direction of the Director of Interconnection, the Senior Interconnection Engineer plays a critical technical role in the full lifecycle of utility-scale solar and battery storage projects. Responsibilities include leading interconnection studies, performing advanced power flow modeling and transmission analysis, supporting application strategy, and coordinating with utilities and ISOs.
 
The Senior Interconnection Engineer provides technical leadership across multiple projects and serves as a key resource during development, execution, and construction phases of the interconnection process.
 
Essential Functions:
<ul>
<li>Track, manage, and support assigned projects across all lifecycle phases, ensuring effective coordination with TSPs, ISOs, internal teams, consultants, and other stakeholders.</li>
<li>Perform and lead power flow modeling, interconnection analyses, economic assessments, and utility coordination to identify optimal project locations and sizes.</li>
<li>Conduct transmission analysis to evaluate constraints, congestion, curtailment risk, and basis risk.</li>
<li>Review interconnection study results and validate modeling assumptions, inputs, and outputs.</li>
<li>Support preparation and submission of interconnection applications and study data.</li>
<li>Assist with review and negotiation of interconnection agreements, including technical exhibits and specifications.</li>
<li>Lead development and technical review of single-line diagrams and interconnection facility designs.</li>
<li>Develop and track schedules and milestones in coordination with the master project schedule and EPC timelines.</li>
<li>Monitor engineering, procurement, construction, testing, and commissioning of interconnection facilities and lead technical coordination calls as needed.</li>

Qualifications:

<h1>Position Overview</h1>
We are seeking an AI / Perception Lead Engineer to own and deliver the perception layer of our autonomy stack. This is a high-impact role focused on building real-time computer vision and sensor fusion systems that operate reliably on constrained edge hardware in dynamic environments.
This is not a research-only role. You will be responsible for taking perception systems from concept → prototype → field deployment, working across software, hardware, and real-world testing.
<h1>Responsibilities</h1>
<ul>
<li>Develop and deploy real-time object detection, classification, and tracking systems</li>
<li>Optimize models for edge deployment (Hailo, Jetson, ARM, etc.)</li>
<li>Build multi-sensor perception pipelines (camera, lidar, etc.)</li>
<li>Improve robustness under real-world conditions (motion blur, occlusion, lighting)</li>
<li>Integrate perception outputs into downstream autonomy systems</li>
</ul>
<h1>Required Skills and Experience</h1>
<ul>
<li>Strong experience with modern CV models (YOLO, transformers, tracking systems)</li>
<li>Experience training, fine-tuning, and deploying models</li>
<li>Experience with edge inference optimization (TensorRT, ONNX, etc.)</li>
<li>Strong Python + C++ (or Rust) skills</li>
<li>Experience working with real-time video pipelines</li>
</ul>
<h1>Preferred Skills and Experience</h1>
<ul>
<li>Experience with Hailo or similar accelerators</li>
<li>Experience with multi-object tracking (ByteTrack, DeepSORT)</li>

This role is assigned onsite at our Great Neck, New York or Leander, Texas location. In-person work is required.
