            <p>We are seeking a talented Software Engineer to join our engineering solutions team in West Virginia. This role is well-suited for recent graduates or engineers with 1–2 years of experience who are looking to gain hands-on development experience in a fast-paced, mission-driven environment. You will contribute to building healthcare software solutions that improve patient outcomes while learning from experienced teammates and developing your technical skills. This position reports to the VP of Engineering and involves regular collaboration with cross-functional partners.</p><p><br /></p><p><strong>Work Setting</strong></p><p>This is a full-time hybrid position based in West Virginia, with onsite presence as per the schedule proposed by the manager. Candidates should expect regular in-person collaboration, and occasional travel (up to 15%) may be required across West Virginia, California, and New York for customer site visits, team offsites, or relevant industry events.</p><p><br /></p><p><strong>Responsibilities</strong></p><ul><li>Design, develop, test, and maintain high-quality code for patient-centric healthcare solutions</li><li>Debug software defects and address performance and stability issues</li><li>Contribute to the development of new features in collaboration with product and design teams</li><li>Participate in sprint planning, estimation, code reviews, and retrospectives</li><li>Write and maintain technical documentation for systems, APIs, and workflows</li><li>Support testing, QA, and secure development practices in alignment with HIPAA requirements</li><li>Engage in professional development to improve programming and problem-solving skills</li></ul><p><br /></p><p><strong>Required Qualifications</strong></p><ul><li>Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related technical field</li><li>Hands on experience building web or mobile applications, including front-end or full-stack development</li><li>Proficiency in at least one programming language (e.g., Java, Python, C++, JavaScript, TypeScript) and experience using Git</li><li>Strong academic foundation in software engineering, algorithms, and data structures</li><li>Familiarity with relational database concepts (SQL) and web technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript)</li></ul><p><br /></p><p><strong>Preferred Qualifications</strong></p><ul><li>Experience working with cryptography libraries or encryption/decryption frameworks</li><li>Exposure to secure coding best practices and handling sensitive data (ePHI, PII)</li><li>Hands-on experience developing end-to-end solutions or mobile-first applications</li><li>Demonstrated ability to contribute to cross-functional team projects in Agile environments</li><li>Strong documentation skills and GitHub portfolio or equivalent work samples</li></ul><p><br /></p><p><strong>Compensation</strong></p><p>Total compensation for this role is expected to fall within the range of <strong>$60,000 to $90,000 annually</strong>, depending on experience, qualifications, and alignment with the responsibilities outlined.
