DescriptionThis position is responsible for the administration, performance, integrity, and security of SQL databases and associated enterprise applications. This role supports Customer Service, Finance, and Operations systems, develops data analytics and reporting solutions using Power BI, and serves as a liaison between business users and software vendors.RequirementsResponsibilities<ul><li>Analyze business functions and work processes to determine technical and reporting needs.</li><li>Administer, monitor, and optimize Microsoft SQL Server databases including backups, restores, performance tuning, indexing, and security configuration.</li><li>Develop queries, reports, database extracts, and data models utilizing SQL, Power BI, and other reporting tools.</li><li>Test and debug database-related processes and identify system improvements.</li><li>Provide analysis and limited development support for enterprise application packages.</li><li>Maintain consistency and reliability of applications by enforcing standards and procedures.</li><li>Identify system capability and capacity issues and recommend solutions.</li><li>Define requirements, develop specifications, and document processes for new and existing applications.</li><li>Provide training and assistance to users on reporting tools and data interpretation.</li><li>Support integrations between enterprise systems (ERP, CIS, GIS, SCADA, financial systems).</li><li>Participate in system upgrades, disaster recovery planning, and testing.</li><li>Other duties as assigned</li></ul>Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities<ul><li>Microsoft SQL Server and T-SQL development.</li><li>Power BI report development and data modeling.</li><li>Troubleshoot and optimize database performance using indexing strategies, execution plan analysis, and query tuning.</li><li>Relational database concepts and data integrity principles.</li><li>Supporting enterprise applications such as ERP (Microsoft Dynamics GP preferred), CIS, and GIS systems.</li><li>Database backup, restore, and disaster recovery procedures to ensure data integrity and availability.</li><li>Application configuration and implementation.</li><li>Design, develop, and optimize complex SQL queries and database objects to support operational and financial reporting.</li><li>Analyze large data sets to identify trends, discrepancies, and data integrity issues.</li><li>Develop and present clear, actionable dashboards and reports for technical and non-technical users.</li><li>Troubleshoot and optimize database performance using indexing strategies, execution plan analysis, and query tuning.</li><li>Maintain data governance standards, including security, role-based access controls, and documentation.</li><li>Support and troubleshoot integrations between enterprise systems.</li><li>Communicate technical concepts clearly to users, leadership, and vendors.</li><li>Prioritize and manage multiple projects in a fast-paced operational environment.</li><li>Exercise sound judgment and independent decision-making when evaluating technical solutions.</li><li>Advanced proficiency in Microsoft SQL Server and T-SQL, including writing complex queries, stored procedures, and scripts.</li><li>Proven ability in performance tuning and query optimization to maximize database efficiency.</li></ul>Requirements<ul><li>High School Diploma or equivalency</li><li>Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science preferred, or two years of college with major coursework in Computer Science.</li><li>2–3 years of SQL/database administration experience, including relational database management (preferred)</li><li>Valid Florida Driver’s License</li></ul>
