Buckeye Partners is currently seeking an Engineer II, Facility Integrity with facility integrity program management experience in the Oil & Gas Industry to join our team!
 
 Role Summary:
The Engineer II, Facility Integrity is an intermediate-level Engineer role with responsibilities to support the various programs that comprise Buckeye’s Facility Integrity program.
 
Responsibilities & Essential Functions include:
<ul>
<li>Facility Integrity Program Support. Supporting the implementation of Buckeye’s Facility Integrity Programs, including but not limited to,</li>
<li> Evaluating and continuously improving Buckeye’s Facility Integrity Programs through the investigation, recommendation, and implementation of new technologies.</li>
<li>Selecting Inspection/Testing/Preventive Maintenance (ITPM) activities and the required specific inspection tools based on risk assessments.</li>
<li>Researching background of Key Performance Indicators (KPI's) for program evaluation.</li>
<li> Reviewing facility equipment failure and metallurgical analyses reports.</li>
<li> Data Integration & Management. Facilitating Facility Integrity data integration within Buckeye’s GIS or other applications. </li>
<li> Risk Management & Mitigation. Managing risk analyses and developing risk prevention/ mitigation strategies. </li>
<li>Stakeholder Engagement. Identifying and involving stakeholders (both internal and external to Facility Integrity) for key decisions and preparing Management of Change (MOC) work orders for Facility operations-related activities and/or procedure revisions, as required. </li>
<li> Project/Program Management. Developing budgets and monitoring maintenance forecasts and expenditures related to the Facility Integrity Programs. </li>
<li>Department Support. Providing support for Asset Integrity Team members. </li>
<li>And other duties as assigned.</li>
</ul>
 
Position Requirements:
<ul>
<li>
Education:  Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical, Civil, or Chemical Engineering or related field is required.
</li>
<li style="color: #000000;">
Experience: Typically, 5+ years of relevant experience.
</li>
<li style="color: #000000;">
Special skills:  Proficiency using Microsoft Office applications required. 
</li>
<li style="color: #000000;">
Special skills:  Proficiency with SQL, ESRI GIS, PowerBI, FME, Python, R, or other programming languages to perform data analysis is preferred.
</li>
<li style="color: #000000;">
Familiarity with industry standards and regulatory codes relating to facility integrity management is required.
</li>
<li style="color: #000000;">
Travel Requirements: 10% travel possible.
</li>
</ul>
 
Certificates & Licenses:
<ul>
<li>
Engineer-in-Training or Professional Engineer certification is highly desirable.
</li>
<li>
API-570 or API-510 certification, or equivalent experience, is preferred
</li>
</ul>

<li>Requires strong mechanical aptitude and analytical skills, ability to work well under pressure with strong commitment to safety. </li>
<li>Ability to supervise 24/7 operations and work overtime as required. </li>
<li>Requires excellent analytical and troubleshooting skills and a high level of attention to detail. </li>
<li>Good communication skills (both oral and written), organizational and managerial skills and the ability to effectively negotiate with vendors and internal customers are essential. </li>
<li>Maintain high level of technical expertise to remain current with changing technology, standards and regulations. </li>
<li>Must be readily available to provide technical assistance during responses to pipeline releases or other emergencies.</li>

I. POSITION OBJECTIVE
To assist in research and development projects and support engineers in the daily needs of projects and to conduct Q/C testing to support Production units and monitor product quality. &nbsp; II. MAJOR AREAS OF ACCOUNTABILITY&nbsp;
1. &nbsp; &nbsp;Calibrate, maintain and operation of Instruments and equipment. 2. &nbsp; &nbsp;Analyze Samples, final product and raw materials. 3. &nbsp; &nbsp;Pilot plant operations and polymerization reactions. 4. &nbsp; &nbsp;Complete paperwork as required. 5. &nbsp; &nbsp;Troubleshoot and repair instruments. 6. &nbsp; &nbsp;Attend project meetings and contribute to the projects discussed. 7. &nbsp; &nbsp;Review and evaluate data and communicate all findings to other departments, management or engineers. 8. &nbsp; &nbsp;Maintain Lab logbooks. 9. &nbsp; &nbsp;Complete QC Analysis for Process. 10. &nbsp; &nbsp;Attend Safety and Departmental Training 11. &nbsp; &nbsp;Adhere/Implement/educate/train and adhere to all company policies and &nbsp; &nbsp;procedures including but not limited to, ISO, personnel, quality, environmental, health, safety, Federal and State laws, regulatory and company requirements 12. &nbsp; &nbsp;Comply with NTG (Nothing Touching the Ground) requirements. III. &nbsp; &nbsp;QUALIFICATIONS A. TECHNICAL JOB CRITERIA&nbsp;
1. Previous Related Experience Required High school diploma or equivalent with a minimum of eight hours of college-level chemistry; or an associate degree in Chemical Technology (Laboratory); or three years of industrial laboratory experience; or at least 15 consecutive months of experience in a Polyolefins, PVC, or Polymer Analysis laboratory. Experience in plastic converting processes and testing is preferred.
2. Technical Skills Required to Perform This Job 1. &nbsp; &nbsp;Lab Instrumentation; 2. &nbsp; &nbsp;Processing Machines; 3. &nbsp; &nbsp;Personal Computer (including programs such as spreadsheets, word processors, and data bases.); 4. &nbsp; &nbsp;Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS); 5. &nbsp; &nbsp;Good interpersonal and communication skills.
3. Education&nbsp; High school diploma or equivalent with a minimum of eight hours of college-level chemistry, or an associate degree in Chemical Technology (Laboratory) preferred.
4.
