The Systems Integration &amp; Automation Engineer is a senior individual contributor responsible for designing, implementing, and&nbsp;maintaining&nbsp;secure, scalable automation and system integrations that improve operational efficiency and reliability across the bank. This role bridges core infrastructure operations and business process automation, working independently while collaborating across departments and supporting innovation and governance initiatives.&nbsp;

&nbsp;

Systems &amp; Infrastructure Engineering&nbsp;

<ul>
	<li>Support and&nbsp;optimize&nbsp;hybrid and cloud-based infrastructure, including core Microsoft enterprise platforms and unified communications.&nbsp;</li>
	<li>Act as the primary technical liaison for assigned infrastructure, cloud, communications, and automation vendors, coordinating issue resolution, escalations, and follow up.&nbsp;</li>
	<li>Coordinate vendor support cases in close partnership with the ISO, Systems Administrator, and IT Systems Manager during incidents to contribute technical support to investigations and determining resolutions. &nbsp;</li>
	<li>Participate in technical evaluation of vendor solutions, including proofs of concept and integration due diligence.&nbsp;</li>
	<li>Provide technical continuity, advanced troubleshooting, and decision support to&nbsp;maintain&nbsp;operational stability during staff absences or elevated incidents.&nbsp;</li>
</ul>

Automation &amp; Integration Engineering&nbsp;

<ul>
	<li>Own the bank&rsquo;s enterprise automation platform, including architecture, standards, documentation, and long-term scalability.&nbsp;</li>
	<li>Design and implement secure, repeatable automations and system integrations using scripting, APIs, and modern automation tools.&nbsp;</li>
	<li>Lead small to medium automation initiatives end to end, focusing on reusable solutions rather than one off fixes.&nbsp;</li>
	<li>Monitor,&nbsp;optimize, and evolve automation performance to support operational efficiency and data integrity.&nbsp;</li>
</ul>

&nbsp;

Collaboration, Governance &amp; Advisory Support&nbsp;

<ul>
	<li>Work closely with business units, Data Services, and the Innovation Committee to&nbsp;identify, evaluate, and prioritize automation opportunities.&nbsp;</li>
	<li>Ensure automation and integrations align with regulatory, cybersecurity, and operational requirements.&nbsp;</li>
	<li>Provide&nbsp;technical guidance on&nbsp;automation&nbsp;feasibility, integration patterns, and impacts, influencing outcomes without formal authority.&nbsp;</li>
	<li>Track and communicate value delivered through automation, including efficiency and ROI measures.&nbsp;</li>
</ul>

Systems Integration & Automation Engineer

5-8 years in systems administration, automation, integration; strong Microsoft enterprise experience; scripting and integration (PowerShell, APIs, SQL); automation/platform experience; regulatory environment awareness.

Reports To: Director of Warehouse Automation
Salary Grade: $100,522-$150.782 annually, plus bonus opportunity
Provides engineering support across the business with primary focus on automation engineering. This individual will have a direct impact on future investments made in automation and the success of those projects.
WHAT YOU’LL DO
<ul>
<li>Coordinates any Automation engineering related activity at all locations, in conjunction with operational leadership and applicable safety requirements.</li>
<li>Supports capital assessment and implementation with both internal and external partners.</li>
<li>Interacts with vendors to accomplish product selection, and engineering review and solution procurement.</li>
<li>Collaborates with facilitates project management to ensure quality delivery.</li>
<li>Applies lean thinking and tools to eliminate waste in all areas of the position.</li>
</ul>
YOU MUST HAVE
<ul>
<li>Bachelor’s degree in engineering and professional engineering certification. Degree can be in any of the disciplines – architecture, mechanical, civil, structural, or electrical.</li>
<li>Strong written and verbal communication skills.</li>
<li>Ability to adapt to a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks.</li>
</ul>
YOU MAY ALSO HAVE
<ul>
<li>Robotics and automated material handling systems Conveyor, AS/RS (Automated Storage & Retrieval Systems), or other warehouse automation technologies.</li>
<li>Controls experience</li>
<li>Experience with AB and Seimens</li>
<li>Integration of automation with IT/OT systems (networking, MES, data simulation tools such as Flexsim (e.g. for layouts or process modeling)</li>
<li>Data analysis tools (basic SQL, Python, or advanced Excel for system performance)</li>
</ul>
ROLE SPECIFICS
<ul>
<li>Travel – Up to 60% overnight travel for company meetings, trainings, and project responsibilities. Must have ability to travel independently as needed, without restriction by all modes of transportation, including car, plane, or train.</li>
