The Associate Director of Regional Development is a frontline fundraiser and is part of a national fundraising team. The Associate Director is responsible for qualifying, cultivating, soliciting, and stewarding major and principal gift prospects in this key geographic region on behalf of West Virginia University, and its affiliates to identify and advance gifts at the major gift level, from $25,000 to $250,000 by building and progressing a personal portfolio of prospects during a multi-billion dollar comprehensive campaign.

Duties and Responsibilities

	<li style="margin-right: 24px; margin-left: 8px;">Plan, schedule, and complete frequent travel in the assigned geographic region, including overnight, to contact prospects and donors in completion of portfolio/pipeline management. </li>

	<li style="margin-right: 24px; margin-left: 8px;">Maintain a comprehensive working knowledge of the University and its units, including mission, history, and current fundraising priorities assuring effective representation of all opportunities and priorities for private support.</li>
	<li style="margin-right: 24px; margin-left: 8px;">Build and manage a network of relationships with prospective donors involving University, WVU Medicine, and Mountaineer Athletic Club leadership, faculty, and volunteers. </li>
	<li style="margin-right: 24px; margin-left: 8px;">Facilitate and coordinate all communication with these prospects and among the prospect&rsquo;s campus relationship</li>
	<li style="margin-right: 24px; margin-left: 8px;">Coordinating with Prospect Development and Strategy, suggest strategy meetings on multi-interest prospects with colleagues to keep gift discussions moving forward in a donor centric fashion.&nbsp; </li>
	<li style="margin-right: 24px; margin-left: 8px;">Coordinate with Donor Relations and appropriate development officers to develop and execute personalized stewardship plans for select donors and prospects.&nbsp; </li>
	<li style="margin-right: 24px; margin-left: 8px;">Comply with all WVU Foundation reporting and accountability standards and coordinate development efforts with university development staff as needed.</li>
	<li style="margin-right: 24px; margin-left: 8px;">Meet annual fundraising goals and performance metrics.</li>
