<p><strong>Summary</strong></p>

<p>Design, develop, test, and deploy modern web applications and integrations using React, Node.js, and Express. Work on both customer-facing and internal manufacturing systems, taking ownership of projects from requirements analysis through production deployment. Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand workflows and translate needs into technical solutions in a fast-paced B2B manufacturing environment.</p>

<p><strong>Principle Duties & Responsibilities</strong></p>

<ol>
	<li>Responsible to follow all safety procedures as required by the role, and to nurture a food safety culture by adhering to all Safe Quality Foods requirements.</li>
	<li>Develop and maintain web applications using React frontend and Node.js/Express backend in our monorepo architecture.</li>
	<li>Build and maintain integrations with SQL databases, REST APIs, and manufacturing systems.</li>
	<li>Take ownership of features and projects with minimal supervision, from initial analysis through deployment and support.</li>
	<li>Collaborate with business analysts on requirements and engage directly with stakeholders as needed for technical clarification.</li>
	<li>Analyze business workflows and translate them into technical solutions that solve real operational problems.</li>
	<li>Participate in code reviews and contribute to team technical standards and documentation.</li>
	<li>Balance strategic project work with support tickets and urgent production issues in a highly reactive environment.</li>
	<li>Maintain and document existing applications while contributing to modernization efforts.</li>
	<li>Protect operations by keeping information confidential.</li>
	<li>May perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.</li>
</ol>

<p><strong>Minimum Qualifications:</strong></p>

<ol>
	<li>Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field, OR equivalent professional experience (4+ years), and 3-7 years of professional software development experience with demonstrated project ownership.</li>
	<li>Strong proficiency with React for building modern, responsive web interfaces.</li>
	<li>Solid experience with Node.js and Express for building backend services and APIs.</li>
	<li>Working knowledge of SQL databases and ability to write efficient queries.</li>
	<li>Experience with REST APIs and integrating third-party services.</li>
	<li>Ability to effectively utilize (writing, speaking, reading) the English language.</li>
	<li>Ability to work independently and own projects from concept through deployment with minimal supervision.</li>
	<li>Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively with non-technical business stakeholders.</li>
	<li>Comfort working in a fast-paced, interrupt-driven manufacturing environment where priorities shift.</li>
	<li>Ability to understand business processes and fill in requirements gaps through questioning and analysis.</li>
	<li>Must have excellent interpersonal skills and ability to collaborate with technical and business teams.</li>
	<li>Experience in manufacturing, supply chain, or B2B enterprise environments preferred.</li>
	<li>Familiarity with Linux environments and Docker containerization preferred.</li>
	<li>Experience with Git version control and collaborative development workflows preferred.</li>
	<li>Understanding of DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines preferred.</li>
	<li>Background in both customer-facing and internal business applications preferred.</li>
	<li>Experience working with legacy systems and contributing to modernization efforts preferred.</li>
	<li>Regular attendance is an essential function of the position. May be required to work some overtime.</li>
</ol>

<p><strong>Working Conditions:</strong></p>

<ul>
	<li>Normal office environment with potential for hybrid remote work (2-3 days per week)</li>
	<li>Normal manufacturing environment.</li>
	<li>May be some exposure to vibration s, noise and chemical odors.</li>
	<li>Occasional visits to manufacturing floor may be required for system integration or troubleshooting.</li>
</ul>
